BAH how did December creep up so quickly?! Here is the round up of my favourite products that I have been using in November.
Lets start with skincare! Over the past year or so I haven't been too big into skincare and have been opting for a more simple routine. I think this is partly from trying so many things and not experiencing any wow results. The one thing that has impressed me in the past few months is the Kiehl’s Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate which is a daily vitamin C serum. I have actually noticed that my skin is clearer and brighter since using it and it is definitely a new staple in my routine.
My favourite hand cream brand is definitely Hand Chemistry and I have been digging the Extreme Hydration Concentrate Hand Cream lately. This is a gel hand cream that hydrates your hands and keeps them feeling soft without feeling greasy.
The last skincare/body type product is Lush Bath Bombs. Man, if you want an amazing bath then check out the Lush Bath Bombs... there are the best on the market. This month I have used Monsters Ball and Lord Of Misrule which are both holiday bath bombs and I am definitely keen to get some more. They are the most colourful, most fun, best scented and nicest feeling bath bombs on the market.
Onto makeup favourites. My favourite makeup tool of the month is the new Real Techniques Miracle Mini Eraser Sponge which is like a mini versions of the Miracle Complexion Sponge and is designed to erase makeup mistakes. This is AMAZING for applying concealer! If you love using sponges for base products then I HIGHLY recommend these.
My favourite palettes of the month are the Sleek i-Divine Palette in Goodnight Sweetheart and Lorac Mega Pro 3 Palette. Both are limited edition and both are really lovely. The Sleek one is very affordable and I love the shades! It is a dark romantic palette which has deep wine shades, smokey browns, pinks and purples and it creates a variety of really gorgeous looks. This is more of a winter/autumn palette but I think it's a great way to add a smokey warm feel to your makeup. Then we have the Lorac palette, which is a lot more expensive and harder to get than the Sleek palette, but if you can get your hands on it it is a neutral palette that has great quality shadows and I have been getting compliments on my makeup whenever I use it (we are also giving one away on BEAUTY NEWS).
In the warmer months I really love a soft shimmery blush and my most used blush of the month hands down is the Milani Baked Blush in Coralina, which is a shimmery coral blush. The formula blends really nicely, gives a glow to the skin and doesn't apply too much colour. I decided to buy a few more and now have the shades Rose D'Oro and Berry Amore which are also gorgeous shades. When I bought the new shades from Beauty Bay I also picked up the Milani Amore Matte Lip Cream in Loved. This is a stunning matte liquid lipstick and it has also made it into my favourites. The shade is a deep rosy nude which is super flattering and applies beautifully. The only downside is that it doesn't last as long as I would like, but the application is smooth, it is very affordable, and look on the lips is gorgeous!
The last lip products that I have been loving are the MAC Liptensity Lipsticks (I have the shades Life’s Blood and Dionysus) and the Kylie Cosmetics Lip Kit in Dolce K. The MAC Liptensity Lipsticks are super pigmented, last a very long time and a very comfortable. If you are after a non-matte bold creamy lipstick then this is a great range to go for. I decided to try the Kylie Cosmetics Lip Kit in Dolce K as part of my liquid lipstick wear test and I had low expectations but was pleasantly surprised. The formula is comfortable and easy to apply, and the shade is a perfect deep modern brown nude which I have been gravitating towards recently. It is a very flattering shade and I love that it comes with a matching lip liner.
