Even though we are two weeks into November, I thought I would quickly share my October beauty favourites.
The makeup palettes that impressed me the most this month are the Morphe palettes. I have the 35OS (orange shimmer) and the 35T (taupe) - I love the 35T the most because the mix of the golds, bronzes and taupes in the palette are very "me". Overall I was crazy impressed with the quality of the palettes, especially for the price. I bought these at Beautybay.com for $35.60 each.
Another super affordable product that I was really impressed with are the ColourPop Lippy Stix matte and matte X formulas. They are really comfortable pigmented lipsticks that last a long time on the lips... and they retail for US$5 each!
The last makeup item I have been enjoying is the new Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation. It is super high coverage foundation that isn't heavy or cakey feeling and it looks great in photos/video. The only downside is that it isn't long lasting and it won't suit people who have dry skin.
The self tanner that has impressed me is the Le Tan Self Tanning Foam in Ultra Dark. It is a very VERY dark tanning foam that will turn you from office worker white to holiday tanned in one application. It also doesn't have a bad scent, it doesn't transfer onto clothes, and it is a lot cheaper than some of the other comparable self tanners on the market (St Tropez and Bondi Sands). The Le Tan tanning foam retails for under $20 but I saw it for $9.95 in Chemist Warehouse recently.
Lastly my skincare standout of the month is the Obagi CLENZIderm MD Pore Therapy. Obagi is a medical skincare brand and this toner helps clear and prevent break outs. It is alcohol free, contains 2% salicylic acid, and it gives the skin a very fresh almost menthol feel. I love it! It is the best toner I can remember using.
