Rimmel London have just released two new mini collections of their Moisture Renew Lipsticks - Sheer and Bold. I was send the sheer ones for review, so here I am with a review and swatch post. The moisture renew lipsticks are known for being very comfortable and moisturising and now you can choose how bold you want the colour. There are six shades released in the sheer range and they retail in Australia for $13.95 each.

If you want to see lip swatches of these then check out my review on YouTube

The packaging of the sheer lipsticks reminds me a lot of the Maybelline lipsticks. It has a silver metallic bullet with a sheer light pink plastic lid and you can see the silver through the lid it when its on the bullet and it looks very shiny and pretty. I believe the bold lipsticks have similar packaging with purple lids.

100 Woke Up Like This is a very light pink that will lighten your natural lip colour
200 Glow-Ricious Pink is a soft pink
300 Pink Rules is a bright dark raspberry pink
500 Red-Y, Set, Go! is a bright red
600 Spin All Spring is a light peachy nude
700 Better and Brighter is a true brownie nude

The shade range is very safe with a very light pinky nude, a light pink, a deep pink, a red, a peach and a brown nude. I think for 6 shades this is a decent variety of shades. You can also see from that swatches that you can build up each shade to be quite pigmented but they never reach the point where they are opaque. What I love most about these is that they apply so evenly and smoothly and they give a very pretty sheen to the lips. They are very moisturising and would suit people who have dry lips, but they wear off very quickly and they wear off completely so they do need reapplying often. They also have a soft sweet fruity scent that doesn't last on the lips.

If you are after a super comfortable lipstick that provides a sheen and a translucent colour then these are a great and affordable option. I personally like my coloured lipsticks to be bold and long lasting so I wont reach for the coloured ones too often BUT I do love the nude one as an alternative to a lip gloss as it provides a nice amount of colour, shine, and moisture without being sticky and annoying.

You can buy these at Priceline, Woolworths, Coles, Big W, Target and all other places that stock Rimmel.
Note: these products were given to me as a press sample. My review is 100% my own opinion
