La Roche Posay - #ActOnAcne Effaclar Challenge

August 22, 2016

I was super excited to check my mail box and randomly have this La Roche-Posay #ActOnAcne Effaclar Challenge Pack waiting for me. I have been a HUGE supporter of the Effaclar range for years now and when I was younger and more oily skinned/blemish prone I really relied heavily on the Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel For Oily Sensitive Skin and the Effaclar Duo Corrective Unclogging Care Anti-Imperfections moisturiser for keeping my skin clear.

The Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel is a foaming gel cleanser that lathers really nicely and helps control oil and blemishes without stripping or drying the skin. Often acne fighting skincare is very harsh and stripping to the skin which often causes additional skincare problems, but this cleanser is gentle, yet effective, and it is also suitable for sensitive skin.

Effaclar Duo is a fantastic product and I honestly recommend it to anyone and everyone that has oily or blemish prone skin. This is a very light lotion that can be used as your daily moisturiser if you don't like heavy moisturisers or if you have sensitive skin and react to fragrances BUT it also unclogs pores, reduces the appearance of blemishes AND it also helps reduce the marks left from blemishes. This also works perfectly in conjunction with the Effaclar cleanser.

More recently La Roche-Posay have released the Serozinc Zinc Sulfate Solution. This is the first time I have used this product and I am really enjoying it. The Serozinc is a spray toner that you apply after you cleanse your face, let it dry for a few minutes, and then follow up with your moisturiser. It helps soothe and mattify oily/acne-prone skin. This has become the only way that I can force myself to tone my face because it is really quick to use and it also feels refreshing.

If you suffer from break outs or oily skin (I feel you!) I definitely recommend checking out this kit or La Roche-Posay products in general. You will definitely see a big difference in your skin in 4-6 weeks as the #ActOnAcne Effaclar Challenge claims. I am a huge supporter of this range and have used it for years until my skin started settling down as I have hit the big 30, BUT using these products again has made me remember why I loved them so much and I will continue to keep them in my skincare routine... especially the Serozinc toner because I always neglect the toning step and this has made it so simple!

You can check out more about the #ActOnAcne Effaclar Challenge here or you can check out all the La Roche-Posay products designed for oil/acne prone skin here.
You can buy La Roche-Posay products at Priceline.

Note: these products were given to me as a press sample. My review is 100% my own opinion
