Another month down, another favourites to talk about.
I am not going to lie, this month was pretty rough with my grandmother passing away unexpectedly which made thinking about my favourite makeup pretty difficult - had that "who cares about stupid beauty products" mentality blocking me from remembering what I loved this month... but these are the products that I wore a lot throughout July.
I am always reaching for lip products that are bold and that last a long time. I have been loving are the NYX Liquid Suede's in Sandstorm and Pink Lust as these are long wearing liquid lipsticks that aren't as drying as a matte liquid lipstick. They are a little sticky when you first apply them but once they set they are quite comfortable to wear and they last for hours and hours. I love Sandstorm as a brown toned nude and Pink Lust when I want a pop of colour. When I do want a bold matte lip I have been reaching for the Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in Carina which is a more bright coral red lipstick. When I ordered this online I thought it was going to be a lot more neon than it actually is, but its a fun alternative to a red lip. Swatches are below.
I have also been loving deeper smokier eye looks as it is super dreary in Melbourne at the moment. The eye shadows that I have been loving are the two shimmery shades from the Bare Minerals The Happy Place Quad - I apply the rose gold on the inner half of the lid, the deep purple brown on the outer half of the lid and then I blend out with the mattes in the palette , and the Makeup Geek Foiled Shadow in Mesmerized - which I wear it all over the lid and on the lower lash line for a quick and easy deep taupe look. Swatches below.

Some other beauty products worth mentioning are the Booki Brow Co Trio Eyebrow Powder and Highlighter kits which are really lovely smooth and easy to wear brow powders, the Maybelline Dream Velvet Foundation that provides a semi-matte lightweight finish with decent coverage (review coming soon), and the St Tropez Classic Bronzing Mousse that is really easy to apply, gives a natural tan that is a couple of shades deeper than my natural skin tone and smells nice and doesn't transfer - perfect for livening up my pale winter skin.

I think I am getting ahead of myself and am already pre-empting spring. Not only have I been on a spring dress shopping rampage but I have also pretty much exclusively been wearing pastel nail polishes this month. The two most worn and most loved are the L'Oreal Infallible Gel Nail Polish in Endless Candyheart (on my middle finger) and Essie Virgin Snow (on my ring and pinky finger). Both of these pastel purples are perfection.
So those are my July favourites for 2016, what is your favourite beauty product of the month?
Note: some of these products were sent to me as a press sample. My review is 100% my own opinion
