If you have been reading my blog for a number of years you would remember the time that I used to test out all of the new beauty subscription boxes available in Australia or that ship to Australia. Well, as you can probably imagine I got quite a collection of samples and had to unsubscribe and detox from subscription boxed for a few years. Here I am back with an unboxing of one of the only beauty subscription boxes that has peaked my interest in recent years.
This is the Maslow & Co. box which is a bi-monthly Australian subscription box that focuses on a different location around the world for each box. Previous boxes have focused on New Zealand, the UK and Australia. This retails for $44 per box (which arrives every second month) or you can order a year subscription which drops the cost of each box to $40. Check out all the details at the Maslow & Co website.
Side note, I love everything about the design and packaging of this box (besides the fact that one of my products leaked a little, but no damage was done).
In this months box was themed on the USA West Coast ( LA, California and beyond) and the products I received are:
- Milani Baked Blush in Corallina (full size - $15.95)
- Marula Foaming Cleansing Oil (30ml sample - $13.00)
- Fig & Yarrow Red Clay Mask (full size - $32.00)
- Fig & Yarrow Complexion Water Rose, Sandlewood and Neroli (30ml sample - $24.85)
- Earth's Nectar Mint Leaves Scalp Oil (30ml sample - $13.00)
- Reverie Milk Anti Frizz Leave-In Nourishing Treatment (30ml sample - $23.00)
On first impressions I am very impressed with the box. It contain two full size products and four good sized deluxe samples. The products all look really high quality and there is a nice range of makeup, hair care and skincare.
The total value of the box is $121.80!
You also get a handy booklet that allows you to read up on each of the products. Each of the products can also be bought from the Maslow & Co website.
Overall I am very impressed with this subscription box. The products are great, the themed boxes keeps things interesting, the value is really good and I also like that they come every second month so you have time to use up the products from the previous box. My only downside is that they don't ship to PO Boxes.
Have you tried the Maslow & Co. box? What are your thoughts?
