Dare Nails

May 18, 2016

Dare Nails is a gorgeous range of little nail polishes that have launched at Hairhouse WarehouseDare Nails is a Swedish brand and the polishes are free from toluene, formaldehyde and DBP.

The most exciting things about this range (in my opinion) is that they are mini polishes that contain 5ml of polish each (enough for plenty of uses, but not too much for it to go off and waste), they retail for $6.95 each, and they come in 25 shades.

I am so over large bottles of nail polish that rarely get used so the concept of a range of polishes in mini bottles really interests me!

I have been testing out five shades - Spearmint Scoop, Sea Foam Splash, Crazy Carribean, Cosmic Candy and Kinky Coral. I prefer cream finish polishes but they also have metallic finishes in the range.

I just wanted to mention that I am OBSESSED with the shade Crazy Carribean (even though I am pretty sure the spelling is Caribbean). It is a vibrant electric blue that I will wear over and over again! My favourite nail polish colour is blue, so the fact that this one has jumped to one of my favourite shades, it says a lot!

The formula of these polishes are nice for the price. Sea Foam Splash and Crazy Carribean are both completely opaque in one coat, Spearmint Scoop definitely needs two coats and Cosmic Candy and Kinky Coral are more of a gel finish with one coat but are opaque in two. These do last on the nails quite well (especially with a good top coat) BUT I did find that when they started to clip they started chipping quite a lot because the formula is a less rubbery and more brittle.

These are great for the price, I love the colour range and I am definitely happier to buy a few mini polishes than one large nail polish. I also believe you can buy 2 for $10 in store, but I can't see that on the Hairhouse Warehouse website.
