December 2015 Favourites

December 29, 2015

The time has come for the final monthly favourites of 2015. There aren't too many products in this months favourites because I have been mainly focusing on what products will make the cut for my top products of 2015, and I totally forget to keep track of my favourites for the month.

Let's get onto it!

Hand Chemistry Intense Youth Complex - This is probably my most favourite product of December... I am completely in love! This is an anti-ageing hand cream that uses similar ingredients and science as anti-ageing face creams. I have been applying this in the evening for about a month now and my hands have been so smooth and the fine lines and texture have diminished drastically! This is also thick but isn't greasy so it will also be great for day time usage. This is going to be released in Priceline in January and I can't wait! The tube that I have is the travel size which retails for $14 and the 100ml will retail for $35. I HIGHLY recommend trying this hand cream if you want to reduce the effects of ageing on your hands.

Bare Minerals The Regal Wardrobe - My next favourite product of the month is this Christmas set by Bare Minerals. This also contains 4 face powders but I am particularly obsessed with the eyeshadows. They are pigmented, buttery, blendable and are great colours! These eyeshadows contain great shades that will suit all seasons and you can do complete eye looks with this one palettes because it has a great mix of mattes and shimmers. This is still available at some Mecca Maxima stores (I saw them in Melbourne Central earlier this week) and if you want to see a full review and swatches then check out my blog post.

Smashbox Crush On Blush Palette - Next to the Bare Minerals palette, the Smashbox Crush has been my favourite palette of December. This has a beautiful highlighter, a matte bronzer and four blushes. Most of the shades have lovely pigmentation except for the one deeper berry pink shade. If you want to see swatches then check out my review here

Estee Lauder Cyber Metallic Eyeshadow in 02 Cyber Pink - I was poking around my makeup collection and found this frosty pink eyeshadow that I never use. I have been desperately seeking a true pink highlighter lately so I started using this as a highlighter and I adore it! Sure, I wouldn't recommend buying an Estee Lauder eye shadow just for highlighting purposes but if you have a light pink eyeshadow that you never use, try it as a highlighter! Swatch below.

Maybelline Color Sensational The Elixir 06 Nude Illusion - I have been loving this lip gloss this month. On the "no makeup" makeup days (which there have been many because it's been so hot) I have been reaching for this lip gloss for a "my lips but better" effect. This gives a lot of shine, a nice amount of colour, lovely hydration and it lasts hours on the lips without being too sticky!

Kérastase Elixir Ultime Huile Oil - My hair has been particularly frizzy this month so I have been applying a heavy hair oil in my hair the night before shampooing and it has been working wonders as a pre shampoo treatment. I recommend this to anyone who wants softer hair and has a graveyard of hair oils in their bathroom!

Harvest Garden Soaps - I did a full review of these soaps but I thought they are worth mentioning in my favourites. I have three Harvest Garden soaps (one on my skin, one in my shower and one unused) and they are fantastic natural soaps that lather beautifully, aren't drying on the skin, they smell nice and some of them contain natural exfoliating ingredients which have been fantastic to use after a hot day. If you are a soap lover then check out my full review here

  2. I swatched the Smashbox palette a few weeks ago and the powders were so soft! Surprised there aren't more people talking about it. That EL highlight is stunning, too!

  4. Both those palettes look amazing! I came really close to buying the Smashbox palette, but I ended up getting the new NARS cheek palette instead and couldn't justify getting both. Love your favourites posts x
