A healthy start to 2016

November 24, 2015

Before I start getting into Christmas gift ideas, I thought I would do a quick post on some products that I am starting to incorporate into my life for a healthier new year. Of course I am hoping the new year will hold more energy, more exercising, healthier eating, drinking more water and weight loss... but hey, at least I can start somewhere!

Firstly I have started taking a couple of supplements. The first is the new Blackmores Insolar which contains a high dose of nicotinamide, which is a form of vitamin B3, and supports skin health and DNA repair. Nicotinamide also helps with cellular energy production and helps the body to metabolise carbohydrates, proteins and fats. I have no idea what effects this will have as I have only been using them for a week but I love that you only need to take one a day with food and then you are good to go (I can't stand vitamins that require you to take them three times a day!). This 60 tablet bottle retails for $15.99 at all pharmacies and supermarkets that sell Blackmores. Also on a random side note, if you own Blackmores shares at the moment, I am super jelly!

Then I was lucky enough to receive two Fountain supplements at a blogger event last week and I love them! They have a range of 10 supplements available for a wide variety of health and skin benefits. They are in a liquid form so they are designed to be mixed with water (or juice) so they are absorbed by the body quickly and they are also delicious! I have two that are flavoured ginger and apple and I add two teaspoons of one into a bottle of water in the morning and drink it while I am driving to work. The two I have are The Hyaluronic Molecule ($68) which is designed to make your skin hydrated and plump and I also have The Phyto-Collagen Molecule ($77) which supplements your own collagen and support new collagen formation to keep you looking youthful. Now, these are not cheap, and I don't know what obvious effects these will have, but they taste great and encourage me to drink more water!  You can order these at the Fountain website which has free shipping and the supplements range from $48 to $136.

Lastly is a healthy food subscription box that I was sent to review - but I subscribe to in the new year. This is the GoodnessMe Box which is an Australian subscription box that costs $25 a month (or cheaper when you buy a membership) and each month you get sent a whole variety of healthy goodies. This also contains a healthy recipe card each month which relates to some of the products in the box. So far I am loving all the products I have tried so far and I am currently sipping on the organic coffee. They also have a sugar free gift box for $60.

If you want to see all the products in the box, I did an opening video HERE.

Those are some healthy habits that I am starting to sneak into my life before the crazy holiday season starts. What are some of your healthy tips for the new year?
