Hey kids! This is just a quick post about some new skincare products that I have been trying and really loving lately.
Firstly, the cleanser than I am obsessed with is The Jojoba Company's Purifying Citrus Foaming Cleanser. OMG this stuff is fab! It costs $34.95 BUT it contains 175ml of product and will last a good number of months of daily use. This is a gel cleanser that foams nicely, cleanses well, feels gentle on the skin, doesn't dry out my skin, and has an amazing lemon citrus scent that is really refreshing and will be perfect for warmer weather coming up. This also contains some great ingredients including: jojoba (antioxidant and hydration), calendula (hydration), aloe leaf juice (soothing), bilberry (antioxidant), vitamin B5 (cell renewal) and chamomile (calming).
The next product that I have been loving is the Shu Uemura Red:Juvenus Nuti-Essence Oil, and I received this at a Shu Uemura event in Melbourne a few weeks ago and I honestly can't find the price on any of the Australian websites (maybe its a new product to Australia?). I do know that this Red:Juvenus range is pretty pricey, but man it's good! I tried a few deluxe samples of the moisturiser and serum in a gift with purchase and fell in love. This range is to fight early signs of aging, and the products are amazing quality. This oil is a face oil, a body oil and a hair oil in one and I have been using a small amount a couple of times a week as an overnight treatment. This provides great hydration and makes my skin feel plump and smooth. You can check out Shu Uemura in store at selected David Jones.
The first of the two moisturisers that I have been loving is the Philosophy Renewed Hope In A Jar Dry. I haven't tried many products from Philosophy, but the Renewed Hope In A Jar Dry has made me want to delve further into the brand. This moisturiser can be used both day and night and contains alpha hydroxy acids and 3 forms of hyaluronate for long lasting hydration. I have oily skin and originally thought that the "dry" in the title was a little scary, but this is a smooth thick silky moisturiser that delivers great hydration (I have oily but dehydrated skin) without adding any heaviness or greasiness. If you are after a basic, good quality, hydrating, luxurious moisturiser that doesn't have a scent then I highly recommend this one! This retails for $55 and you can get it from places like David Jones, Mecca Maxima and online at Adore Beauty.
Now the Skin Doctors Beetox is the second moisturiser that I have been obsessing with. This is more of an anti-aging product and it is designed to brighten and firm skin. This contains bee venom that is supposed to help collagen production as well as manuka honey which nourishes skin. I personally love this because it makes my skin feel lovely and soft and because it smells AMAZING! This smells like pink marshmallows which I totally was not expecting! This is a delight to use. This has a price tag of $59.99 but you can buy it at Priceline so maybe keep an eye out for a skincare sale.
Pixi Glow Tonic has been a hyped up skincare product in the beauty community for a long time and I have finally had the chance to try it! I was sent this mini size to trial as they have just started stocking this in Target in the US (unfortunately you can't buy it in Australia). This is essentially a toner that contains glycolic acid, aloe vera and ginseng which helps lightly exfoliate the skin for firmer, brighter and healthier skin. This is also really gentle and doesn't contain alcohol. If you can buy this near you then definitely check it out! You can get limited Pixi products from ASOS as well.
Update: the UK Pixi site ships internationally! http://www.pixibeauty.co.uk/
The last two products are from the Racinne Ultimate Hydra Perfection range. This is a really luxurious range that is also surprisingly affordable for the quality. The first product is the Gentle Refining Scrub that retails for $24 and is the most beautiful foaming cleaner that has small exfoliating particles in it. A little of this goes a long way as the product looks like a firm cream but then it lathers into almost like a shaving foam consistency and cleanses the skin really well without stripping the skin. The Optimal Fortifying Emulsion is a gel serum that retails for $39 and is the perfect hydrating serum. I use this during the day and it is a lightweight gel that really helps to replenish the skin. This also contains fancy ingredients like grape callus extract and deep sea plant extracts.
So those are some of the new skincare products that I have been really loving lately.
