Winter luxuries

Winter is nearly over (hooray!) but I thought I would share a few items that have helped to provide a little luxury during the coldest winter in Melbourne in 18 years!

Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil in Raspberry: This lip oil provides hours of moisture for chapped lips, but it also gives the lips a beautiful shine. The raspberry scent is divine and the packaging is beautiful! Definitely a splurge lip gloss, but it definitely a luxurious way of treating dry lips. I did a full review of this product here. You can buy this from Myer or David Jones for $33.

Tokyo Milk/Dark - Everything & Nothing: I LOVE this scent! It has become my favourite winter scent and it makes me feel amazing whenever I wear it. The scents are sweet orange, pressed petals, desert moss and tea leaves. This is a warm, sweet and earthy scent that I am obsessed with! I bought this from a little store in Carlton, but you can buy it online from muaustralia.com for $69.95

Rosehip Plus Rosehip Oil: I can get uneven and dry skin in the cooler months and I always find that rosehip oil helps me effectively treat that. I use this a few nights a week as a night treatment or I mix it with my moisturiser to give it an added boost.

Orly Nailtrition and Nail Growth Treatment and Orly Nail Polish in Haute Red: My nails get quite weak and peel in the cooler months so I have been finding that treatments are mandatory. I have been using the Orly Nailtrition as a strengthening base coat with Orly Haute Red over it. Orly Haute Red is the perfect blue toned red which is a staple in any nail polish collection. The quality is fantastic and it really only needs one coat to get an even colour and finish. If you want an intense treatment with the Nailtrition then you can apply a coat each day for a week, then remove the coats and repeat for a few weeks. You can buy Orly from orlybeauty.com.au

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Pearl: I bought this being a little apprehensive about liquid/cream highlighters but I have been converted! Since winter can make your skin look dull and dry, you can mix this with your foundation to add some radiance to your skin. Also when you apply this as a highlighter on top of your makeup it gives the most beautiful wet shimmering look to the cheeks and is somehow intense but also very natural looking. You can buy this from Lipstick Republic (and use the code kitschsnitch for 10% off your order)

Charles Worthington Shine Booster All Over Gloss Spray: Similar to how your skin can get quite dull in cooler weather, so can your hair. I have been loving this gloss spray as a way to add shine to my hair. This doesn't make my hair feel or look greasy, it just gives it a lovely healthy look. This also helps smooth and defrizz the hair. You can buy this for $15.99 from Priceline.

Molton Brown London Body Wash in Pink Pepperpod: Last but not least is my go to winter shower gel. In the photo it doesn't look like I have used much (that's because I took this photo weeks ago) but instantly this became my little piece of daily luxury. This is a decadent shower gel that has a warm, sweet and peppery scent and is so amazing at warming you up on a cold winter day. The only problem is that a hot shower mixed with this body wash means that I never want to get out of the shower! You can buy Molton Brown products from David Jones and this shower gel retails for $39.

Those are the little luxuries that have been helping me survive the cold weather. What are your favourite winter luxuries?
