July 2015 Beauty Favourites

Hello friends! It is July favourites time and I have a lot of beauty products that I have been really loving! Let's take a look...

Btw if I have done a review on any of these products the review will be linked in the products name.

Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette - I have had this palette for around 2 years now and even though I really respected the quality (and the scent), I never really reached for the colours often. Lately I have been reaching for Hazelnut or Haute Chocolate for an all over the lid colour, Salted Caramel or Milk Chocolate in the crease, and have also been loving occasionally adding Cherry Cordial to deepen up the crease. These have been my go to shadows all month and I have been really loving it!

Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey Mask - I have raved about this mask before, but this month I started using this as a night mask and it has been amazing! Move over Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask, this is my new favourite night mask. Not only does it provide hydration, but it contain manuka honey that helps heal and sooth any redness or breakouts. My skin is so much smoother the morning after using this and I have been using it instead of a night moisturiser maybe 2-3 times a week.

Real Techniques Sculpting Brush - This is a pretty new RT brush in the line and I am loving it! Based on the shape I would assume that this is good for contouring, but I personally find it a little too big for contouring. I have been loving this for foundation, powder, but mainly blush. Since this fits nicely in the cheek, it is fantastic at depositing and blending in blush.

Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil in 2 Raspberry- The best lip product of the month is this lip oil by Clarins. Not only does it do a miraculous job at moisturising the lips for hours, but it smells amazing and leaves a pretty sheen to the lips. If I can't be bothered wearing a colour on the lips or have very dry lips then I have been reaching for this. Strangely despite being an oil, this applies more like a gloss and despite the colour in the tube, it applies almost clear.

Orly Nail Polish in Haute Red - If you want the perfect blue toned red nail polish, look no further because I have found it for you! This is the perfect pin-up red shade and being slightly blue toned it is an amazing cool weather shade. This also a one coat wonder, so you can definitely get an even coat in one layer if you are in a rush.

Biore Pore Penetrating Charcoal Bar - This is a soap designed for the face but I have been using it on the body. The charcoal is supposed to help cleanse the skin more effectively and remove the dirt and grime from your pores. This also smells like mint and contains scrubbing particles which makes me feel really clean without drying out my skin. If you are looking for a soap that will cleanse your skin really effectively, then definitely check this one out! I have since bought three back ups!

Innoxa Skin Perfecting Pore Vanishing Cream - If you have seen my favourites video on YouTube you will realise that I forgot to mention this (because it had fallen down the crack in the couch when I was filming). BUT this is definitely a favourite! This is a silicon based primer type product that works amazingly to fill in pores and diffuse light. I only use this on the areas of my face that have noticeable pores and it helps make foundation glide onto the skin. This also has a flesh toned colour to it which doesn't show up too much on the skin, but does a crazy good job at neutralising redness. If I wanted to have a no foundation day then I would reach for this to smooth pores and also to hide redness.

L'Oreal Infallible 24H Matte Foundation - I did a whole review of this foundation on my blog and channel so I will try not to bore you, but I love this for a few reasons... it stays matte all day and it feels lightweight and super comfortable. This does transfer a little and it does wear off around my nose by the end of the day, but if I wear a long wearing concealer on my nose then there isn't a problem. This doesn't last as long as something like the Revlon Colorstay, but this feels a lot more lightweight and comfortable.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara - This is another product that I have recently reviewed in depth on my blog and YouTube channel. I'll start with the one negative about this mascara which is that it can clump... if you can make it work without clumping then this will give you great volume, length, curl and it stays all day! I even bought a back up which is super rare for me! I love this mascara!

top to bottom: Too Faced Hazelnut and Haute Chocolate, Laura Mercier Moonlight and Smashbox Contour Stick

Smashbox Contour Stick - This was a product that I totally forgot to mention in my June favourites so its making a sneaky mention here. This contour stick comes in a set of three sticks (see my review for more information) and this is my first cream contour product and I love it! It looks so natural and for the first time ever I can do an "extreme" contour with it looking natural. I haven't used this too much in July, but it is what I reach for when I want to look natural yet fierce.

Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in Moonlight - I bought a pack of these mini caviar sticks around Christmas last year and I have been obsessed with using this Moonlight shade as an inner corner highlight. It is soooo metallic, it lasts all day on the eyes and it is the perfect balance between warm and cool toned so it pretty much suits all looks. I hate frosty white inner corner highlights on me, so this is my perfect alternative to brighten up the eye.

Those are my favourite products for July, what are yours?

  5. I really love that Antipodes mask too!!! I never tried it as an overnight mask before, and Origins is my current fave so I will have to give it a go! I'm also LOVING the new L'Oreal Infallible Matte foundation! It's one of the most lightweight comfortable matte foundations I've ever worn!
