I was lucky enough to be sent a AbsoluteHeat Elite Professional Series Digital Ceramic 25mm Curling Iron to test out from i-glamour.com.
These curling irons come in three barrel sizes - 25mm (small), 32mm (medium) and 38mm (large). I went for the 25mm because I have fairly short hair. Each size retails for $89.95 for each size at http://i-glamour.com/
I thought that before I talk about the specifics of the curler, I will talk about my experience with it.
I used to curl my hair a lot, so I am not a complete noob when it comes to hair curlers... but I'm not a pro either. Compared to other hair curlers I have tried I really liked that this one has a clear lit up display, has a temperature control (132 - 232 degrees celcius), and I thought that this was able to heat up and cool down quickly. One thing that I didn't like about the design was that the cord was quite weighty, and whenever I went to put it down I needed to be careful where I placed it because the weight of the cord kept wanting to pull it off the bench. Besides that I thought it was easy to use, worked really quickly (I got decent curls within a few seconds) but I did accidentally drop it while it was on and I burnt myself (clumsy me) so be super careful.
The photo above is after I have curled my hair and brushed out the curls to create waves.
The features of the curler include:
- Temperature: 132°C - 232°C
- Digital LCD display for precise temperature settings
- Advanced temperature control wheel customizes heat effortlessly
- Kick stand aligns flush with handle during styling to avoid snags and protects surfaces from heat while iron is resting
- Designed to use on all hair types, including keratin-treated hair
- Dual voltage for worldwide use
