Hello lovelies! February has come to an end so it's time for my favourites (and empties coming up shortly).
Even though February was a short month I did manage to have a very eventful time when it came to beauty products. This is a quick breakdown of the top beauty products that I have been loving and I have filmed a video that shows these favourites as well as some beauty fails and random favourites. Check that out below!
Ettica Cube Cosmetics Lipstick Holder (24): I received this from the Glamour Affair blogger event at the end of January and I am obsessed! I used to keep some of my favourite lipsticks in a box and I had to rummage around to find the one I was looking for. Now they are all on display in easy reach and it has made my makeup storage that little bit more organised. I am planning on buying a few more of these soon! Check out the range of Ettica products here.
Kosmea Skin Clinic Rosehip Oil: This is an old favourite and it was one of my top skincare products of 2013. I went off oils in 2014, reaching for serums instead, but I have turned back to this particular rosehip oil after getting stubborn break outs on my neck during the hormonal time of the month. Rosehip oil helps calm it all down and reduce some of the scarring that the breakouts have left.
Seven Wonders Natural Hair Care Moroccan Argan Oil Dry Shampoo: I cut my hair this month and I can confidently say that my pixie cut is officially gone (which is neither a good nor bad thing). Since I now have a style that's not just an in-between growing out my hair look, I have been wearing my hair out more often. The one styling product that I have been using religiously is dry shampoo and a new one that I have been trying is this Seven Wonders Moroccan Argan Oil dry shampoo. It adds volume and refreshes my hair without completely drying it out and making it feel too powdery (I am assuming this is thanks to the argan oil). This does leave my hair with a white cast, but I find it easier to brush out than Batiste. If you don't like how normal dry shampoos dry out your hair, then you might want to check this one out!
Bondi Sands Self Tanning Foam in Dark: I went to a Bondi Sands event in February and was able to take home a few of their products to try. I have tried the self tanning foam before, but it was the Light-Medium shade. I have heard numerous times that this is the best selling fake tan in Australia, and even though I liked the Light-Medium shade I wasn't blown away. After trying the Dark shade I completely understand the hype behind it! This tan literally look me from being pale as hell to being super crazy tanned (in a good way) and the tan was lovely and even and lasted all week. The only down side is that it gets on your sheets (so wash it off before you go to bed) and it also probably isn't the type of tan you would want to layer and layer as it is very dark (but awesome) with one layer. If you are concerned about it being too dark then you can wash it off after a couple of hours for a lighter tan.
Stila Eyes are the Window Palette in Soul: My FAVOURITE palette of the month... and probably so far of 2015 is the Stila Soul palette. I think minus one or two shades, this is my perfect palette and it is very similar to how I would design my own eyeshadow palette. It contains the mattes that all palettes need (cream, warm crease colour, cool crease colour, dark brown and black) and then it has some beautifully smooth and pigmented shimmery shades. All of these shades are quite warm toned (besides the one gun metal grey shade on the bottom row) and I think they work perfectly for my skin tone and brown eyes. You can see my full review with swatches here.
Arbonne Perfecting Liquid Foundation - Buff: My favourite base product for the month hands down is the Arbonne Perfecting Liquid Foundation! OMG this stuff is fab! This lasts all day on my oily combination skin, it provides good coverage and its very comfortable to wear. I also tried the NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation this month and I hated it! Compared to the NARS one, this Arbonne foundation is a miracle. Check out my review of the Arbonne foundation here and the NARS foundation here.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Brunette: This has been a bit of a surprise! I have had this product for ages now and I never wore it because I need to fill large areas of my brows, and this doesn't do the job because it is a very thin pencil. When I forced myself to use this up (as part of my Makeup Diet series) I have started using it to outline and define my brows and I have fallen in love with it! This just adds that extra element to my brows and I can't think of any pencil that quite compares.
Chi Chi Viva La Diva Lipsticks - Social Climber and Femme Fatale: These have been the two lipsticks that I have been reaching for the most this month. These are both matte but are nice and creamy and easy to apply. The only downside is that they apply a little thicker than other high end matte lipsticks I have. I have probably been reaching for them on a daily basis because they are long wearing and are also quite affordable. Social Climber is similar to MAC Velvet Teddy, but instead of being brown based its more pink based (I have a photo comparison on instagram). Femme Fatale is similar to MAC Lady Danger.
I hope you also had a great February full of excellent makeup products! Let me know what your favourite product of the month was.
