What's in my shower

January 30, 2015

This may be a very quick, and slightly strange, post... but I thought I would show the products that I currently have in my shower.

There are two main reasons for doing this post, firstly, I have some pretty good products in my shower, and secondly, my shower is a black hole... once something goes in, it get's forgotten about until it's empty (btw I am aware that this isn't how a black hole works).

You will notice that I actually don't keep too much in my shower. This is partly because I have a small shower, but mainly because I like to use up a product before I move on to the next one. The only reason I might have more than one of each product in my shower is if I am testing it for a review.

St Ives Even and Bright Pink Lemon and Mandarin Orange Scrub: We all know that I am a huge fan of the St Ives Green Tea Scrub, so when a new scrub was released I had to try it. This is a similar texture to the St Ives Green Tea Scrub, but for those who haven't used either scrub this is a finely milled but very dense scrub. It means that you get a thorough scrub without it being too harsh on the skin. If you have tried the Apricot version, this is the complete opposite! The Apricot scrub is quite sparse the particles are quite large and scratchy. I do like this new offering from St Ives, but I think the Green Tea version still wins. The Green Tea scrub has a better scent and the scent of this one reminds me of lemon/orange scented cleaning products.

Milk and Co Face Cleanser: I love this stuff! It is my second bottle that I have used and I am actually planning on getting a backup shortly. It is a thin gel cleaner that foams nicely but doesn't strip your skin. Two other great things about it is that it has a lovely fresh lemongrass type scent and it is pretty affordable at around $17 full priced. It is also 95% naturally derived and made in Australia.

Fuente Moisture Wellness Shampoo and Moisture Wellness Care: I was sent these, so I am not too sure how much they cost, but you can buy them from various salons (check out the website for stockist). This range is designed to add moisture to your hair, and I have no complaints! These products make my hair soft and shiny without weighing my hair down, which is pretty much exactly what I want from a shampoo and conditioner. This is a Dutch brand that is new to Australia and it is made from natural and organic ingredients. The scent and packaging is very unisex so it would appeal to most people. If you like sleek modern looking products, then this whole range would suit your bathroom.

Lush So White Shower Gel: This is a limited edition Christmas Lush shower gel that shares the same scent as the So White bath bomb (or so I have read on the Lush website). This is a nice sweet but clean scented shower gel that is supposed to smell like apple, rose water and bergamot oil. I love Lush shower gels and you will often find them in my shower.

Lush Yog Nog Soap: Once again, this is a limited edition Christmas Lush product... I tend to stock up on the Christmas products in the boxing day sales and I think I bought 6 or 7 soaps and 4 or 5 shower gels. I bought four of these Yog Nog soaps because they smell amazing! It is a very sweet and spicy scent which leaves my whole bathroom smelling like cinnamon biscuits.

Lush Ro's Argan Body Conditioner: I love this stuff and I did a full post on it a while ago. I love the scent, I love the formula, I love the results... but I do use it sparingly because it's not cheap!

The Body Shop Strawberry Shower Gel: I saw this baby on discount at my local store... someone had used one pump of the products so it was no longer in perfect condition. I think this bulk strawberry pack retails for around $19.95 (or something like that) and I love it! Anything strawberry scented wins in my opinion, and this scent is very nostalgic and reminds me of when I was in primary school/early high school and The Body Shop products were all the rage for gifts.

Those are the products that I currently have in my shower. What are must have products that you keep in your shower?
