In 2014 I significantly expanded my perfume collection (I blame working down the road from Chemist Warehouse and Priceline) and I thought I would share my top picks for the warmer weather.
Even though I am writing this because it is Summer here, I know that Spring is around the corner for a lot of people and these are also perfect picks for Spring!
I like sweeter fragrances in general, but in the warmer months I tend to like light fresh and slightly sweet floral scents. My four picks are:
Marc Jacobs Daisy: This perfume is probably a favourite of a lot of people. It is a girly fresh scent that I like to call my first date or picnic in a park fragrance.
Top Notes: Strawberry, violet leaves
Heart Notes: Violet petals, jasmine bouquet
Base Notes: Musk, vanilla infusion
Chloe Roses De Chloe: This is probably the most grandma of the bunch, but I still like it. It is a rose scented perfume, but it doesn't have an obnoxious rose scent (I usually dislike rose scents), it has more of a clean fresh rose scent.
Top Notes: Bergamot, litchi & tarragon
Heart Notes: Damask rose, magnolia & cedar
Base Notes: White musk & amber
Be Delicious Fresh Blossom: This is my favourite of the bunch and in fact this is my second bottle. This the perfect mix of sweet, fresh, and floral and it really lives up to it's name as it smells like blossom. This was the perfume that made me realise that I can like floral perfumes.
Top notes: Sparkling grapefruit, cassis, apricot
Heart notes: Muguet, rose, jasmine
Base notes: Apple flower, blonde wood, smooth skin accord
Marc Jacobs Pink Honey: This is a limited edition variation of Marc Jacobs Honey (which I don't own but also really like). This scent is a little different from the others that I have mentioned as it is less floral and more fresh and fruity. I always think of pink grapefruit when I wear this scent and it is perfect for warmer weather.
Top Notes: Pear, fruity punch, juicy mandarin
Heart Notes: Orange blossom, peach nectar, honeysuckle
Base Notes: Honey, golden vanilla, smooth woods
Ps. I took the information about the notes of each scent from various websites... so I am not 100% sure if they are completely accurate.
