NOTD: playing with nail polish and wraps

Hey everyone! I thought I would share a nail design that I did a little while ago using Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Nail Lacquers and NCLA Nail Wraps. I did this post for the Lipstick Republic blog but I decided to share it here as well!

The Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Nail Lacquers that I used were Inked, Pool Boy and Radiate.

These are pretty pricey nail polishes ($23.95 each) but as far as I am aware, Lipstick Republic is the only place you can buy them in Australia and the colour range is absolutely fab! You can't even buy these internationally from the OCC website due to shipping restrictions. These shipping restrictions is also why these have such a significant mark up compared to the other OCC products sold on the Lipstick Republic website. Most shades are not for the faint hearted, but I recommend having a browse if you love fun shades.

Inked is a very very dark inky blue that almost appears black on the nails. If you apply this evenly it is what I like to call a "one coat wonder" nail polish.

Pool Boy is pretty much one of the most popular shades in the whole range, it is the perfect bright light blue.

Radiate is a very exciting shade! The OCC website calls this a UV red, but it definitely has a neon orange hint to it. This has a matte finish on its own, but you can make it shiny by applying a top coat.

The nail wraps I used were both by NCLA. The top set is called Fowl Play and retails for $17.95 and the bottom set is called All Eyes On Me and retails for $19.95.

These are sticky nail wraps that you apply like a sticker and then file off the remaining excess (these also come with nail files). These last for a good week on the nails and each pack comes with 26 wraps each, so you can get two applications of applying them to all of your nails (plus six extra in case you need to reapply one or if you want to use a couple as feature nails with other looks).

Of course I decided to mix and match all of them to make a bit of a crazy nail look... but I like it!
