Hello hello! I decided to start a "Makeup Diet" series this year.
I feel like I need to specify that this isn't as strict as a project pan... I don't have a goal to use up x number of products by a certain date and I am definitely not on a spending until I use up these products.
All this is, is a way to target certain products to use more... and eventually use up. I tend to do this with skincare all the time, I will put away all my skincare except for a few products that I am "targeting" and then I will only use those products until they have been used up.
These are products that are getting old, that are half used up, or products that I don't really like but don't hate enough to throw out. I have also chosen products that I can very easily work into my normal Monday-Friday work makeup. The plan is to keep these out on my makeup table and reach for these products roughly around 4-5 times a week (I won't necessarily be using all of these products everyday).
I will check in with my progress maybe once a month and if there are any products that I have finished then I will introduce more products into the mix. The ultimate goal is to streamline my makeup collection a little bit and maybe also to get use out of products that I have forgotten about (in almost a shop my stash style).
The current products that I have targeted for my makeup diet are:
Korres Lip Butter in Jasmine
Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow Liner in Marry Up
Anastasia Beverly Hills Tinted Brow Gel in Granite
Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Brunette
Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in Light
Rimmel Exaggerate Liquid Eyeliner in Absolute Brown
John Plunkett Instant Primer
Bobbi Brown Skin Weightless Powder Foundation in Sand
Revlon Colourstay Combination Oily in Buff and Natural Beige
Lancôme Grandiose Mascara
Too Faced Mocha Mi Amore Blush
Skindinavia No More Shine Makeup Finish
I filmed a video talking about why I have decided to target each of these products. Check it out below!
Do you ever target certain products to use up?
