I had the pleasure of testing out the new Burt's Bees Radiance range. You can get these at the usual places - including Priceline, Myer and David Jones. You can also buy these at the Burt's Bees website, and currently you get free shipping on any of the Radiance collection with the code BEEQUEEN.

Each of these Radiance skincare products contain Royal Jelly. What is Royal Jelly you may be asking? Well, in a very minimally researched nutshell, it comes from bees and is used in supplements and skincare because it has a high concentration of vitamins and nutrients.

Burt's Bees Radiance Toner with Royal Jelly: I'll start by admitting that toner is not my thing. I use it, I understand what it's for, but I don't really know what makes a great toner and what makes a bad toner. This one is pretty standard in my opinion, but what I do like about it is that it is plant based toner that contains very little alcohol (it's one of the very last ingredients - see the Burt's Bees website for the list of ingredients). This retails for $24.95 for 175ml and has 99% natural ingredients.

Burt's Bees Radiance Eye Cream with Royal Jelly: I thought I would first mention that this is a very simple packaging. It is a small glass jar with a white lid and a label on the base of the jar. If you like the look of minimal packaging design, then you might like this in your bathroom. This is a hydrating eye cream that is designed to be suitable for both morning and night, instead of being just a night treatment. I don't know the long term anti-aging benefits of this (I have only been using this range for a couple of weeks) but I have noticed that this is a lovely hydrating eye cream that has kept my under eye area nice and smooth. This retails for $34.95 for 14g and this contains 98.2% natural ingredients, you can check out the full range on ingredients at the Burt's Bees website.

Burt's Bees Radiance Night Cream with Royal Jelly: Finally, my absolute favourite from the range, the night cream! I even included this my July Favourites. This is a nice thick night cream that smells divine! Once again, I don't know the long term effects, but this does a great job at keeping my skin hydrated (which is a hard task in winter) and it smells like sunshine! It has the nicest sweet, but fresh, scent that is a pleasure to use every night. This retails for $39.95 for 55g, and it contains 98.2% natural ingredients, you can check out the full range on ingredients at the Burt's Bees website.

Overall I don't know if this range has made my skin significantly more "radiant" in the last couple of weeks of using it, but do think it's a nice range of hydrating skincare that's made from high quality natural ingredients, and is still pretty affordable. I would recommend this to people who aren't so much concerned with expensive anti-aging potions, but instead want something simple, natural, hydrating, and full of vitamins and nutrients.... and it smells pretty damn great!

  1. I haven't really tried to much from Burts Bees, but that night cream sounds divine! Since you rave about it so much, I need to give it a go!
