Bulk Buys (products I keep back ups of)

This will be a very quick blog post, but I hope a relatively interesting one.

So I was putting products away in my bathroom cupboard and I realised that I have a lot of back ups of some of my much loved beauty products. This is pretty much a quick blog post about the products that I tend to buy in bulk (aka products that I buy 2 or more of at a time) or products that I keep back ups of.

If I have done more in-depth reviews, I have linked them to the product names.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo: One staple in my bathroom is Effaclar Duo (or the new Effaclar Duo +). Whenever this is on sale at Priceline I tend to stock up. This is a thin moisturiser that helps keep skin clear from pimples. If I am having a bad skin week then I will use this morning and night, otherwise I might use this a couple of times a week just for good measure. You can buy this at Priceline.

Polished London Blighty Brunette: This has been my go to dry shampoo for months and months now. It costs less than $5 full priced, it is brown tinted (so I don't have to brush it out at all), it works well... it's perfect. You can also buy this at Priceline.

Eco Care Facial Cleansing Wipes: I am not a huge fan of facial wipes but if I do use them, I like using these ones by Eco Care. They are free from all bad things (including alcohol) and they work well! I buy these in bulk because I buy them online. I get these from Miss Pearl Store which has free shipping in Australia.

Nivea Deodorant: I am not fussed with which exact roll on deodorant I buy, but I have been buying Nivea ones for the past 6 months or so. The reason why these are here is because I ALWAYS buy back ups of deodorant... I never want to be caught without deodorant!

St Ives Green Tea Scrub: Out of all the exfoliants I have used (including expensive ones), this is by far my ultimate favourite. It is a nice thinly milled scrub that works really really well. Whenever I have used this up I always miss it, so this has become a product that I keep back a up of! I buy mine from Priceline.

Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm: This is my favourite tube lip balm hands down! I actually have 3 tubes and one tin that float around my handbag, my house, my work and my car. This has a lovely minty menthol scent/feel and I will always have these in my collection. Once again, I buy mine from Priceline.

Sally Hansen Mega Shine Top Coat: This is the top coat that I have been using for the last two years or so to extend the wear of my nail polish. For a pretty cheap top coat this extends the wear of your nail polish really well. Whenever Chemist Warehouse has their 50% off sales I tend to pick up a back up (I currently am on my back up eeeek).

Kosmea Skin Clinc Rosehip Oil: This is another product that I am currently onto my last bottle of (don't worry I will buy another one soon... but this is the huge bottle so it should keep me going for a while). This is my favourite rosehip oil, and it is the only one my boyfriend will use... so I like to always keep these around. I once again buy these at Chemist Warehouse when they are on sale.

Colgate Optic White Toothpaste: I don't think that these are particularly impressive with whitening teeth, but I love the menthol taste and feel of this toothpaste... it feels like it cleans my teeth better.  Whenever I see it on sale I buy a few back ups. I just get these from the supermarket.

Daiso Detergent for Puff and Sponge cleaner: This is my holy grail brush cleaner! It works so well! Since the bottles are quite small, I tend to buy two or three when I am at Daiso. These only cost $2.80 each! A must for someone who wants to efficiently clean makeup brushes.

Makeup removal pads: I actually don't care which brands I buy, but I ALWAYS buy these at least two at a time and I always keep a back up under my sink (once again, I need to buy a back up asap).

Australis Fresh and Flawless Pressed Powder in Deep Natural: If you can find this powder in your shade then I HIGHLY recommend it. I am a powder fanatic because I have oily skin, so I always have one of these on my makeup table and one in my handbag. These cost less than $12 full priced from Priceline, so they are very very affordable. I tend to buy two or three when I see them on sale.

So that's it! Those are my products that I buy in bulk/keep back ups of!

What are the products you keep back ups of?

  1. Great post! I'm not really a backups sort of person, I always like trying new things. However I have repurchased Effaclar duo many times, definitely a HG in helping keep the spots at bay. Also adore the Kosmea rose hip oil, I haven't repurchased yet though because I have a lot of other facial oils to use. I do have a backup of the Daiso detergent haha! It works a charm.

  2. When I first started reading your blog you were in love with the St Ives scrub...so I brought it and it's now a product I use all the time. Probably for the last 2 years!? Cheers :)

  3. As much as i would love to backup, I don't rally have the storage for it. Though, sometimes if a product I love is on sale (with a hefty discount) I'll buy a couple extras. At the moment I have a small stash of Burt's Bees Lip balms, MOR products (in several categories) and nail polish remover. I also tend to have a few spar toothbrushes about, I hate it when I need a new one and don't have one on hand.

You've also included my favorite top coat and dry shampoo in your collection. :D

  4. I'm a big fan of the St Ives Green Tea Scrub as well, it's definitely my favorite scrub that I've tried. I keep backups of my favorite mascara and concealer. I also buy multiples whenever they are on sale.

  7. I also stock up on the Puff & Sponge cleaner from Daiso as I don't get to go there too often. Otherwise I just stock up on 'boring' stuff like deodorant, toothpaste, mouthwash and dry shampoo when there's a good special on it.

  8. Great post idea, love seeing what people deem worthy of clever-hoarding! Effaclar Duo all the way for me, my skin can't be without it nowadays or it goes bleh on me. I'll have to go through and see what else I've stored away like a squirrel..
