Bellabox July 2014

It's Bellabox time, and it was good to see it arrive on time this month (I only received my June Bellabox less than 2 weeks ago).

If you aren't familiar with Bellabox, it is a monthly subscription box that costs $15 a month (cheaper if you order a 12 month subscription). If you want to check out more information about Bellabox, then you can visit their website here.

Check out my opening of this box below:

This months box is themed "American Beauty"... So far I have spotted an Australian brand and a Japanese brand. I was a little disappointed that I didn't get a sample of The Balm How 'Bout Them Apples palette, which was shown as a sneak peak product for this box. I was very keen to try that sample because 1 wanted to try the formula before I took the plunge and bought the whole palette (I am generally not a huge fan of cream blushes and wanted to see if it would be something I would use). Anyway, onto the products I did receive...

Yu-Be Moisturising Skin Cream - 3ml sample: This is a multi-purpose product for dry skin and lips... I have tried a sample of this before and totally forgot what I think about it. On first impressions this does feel nice and hydrating without being too thick or greasy, but it has a strange scent and almost taste to it, it tastes a little medicated but earthy at the same time. This is growing on me!

Designer Brands Coconut Lip Butter - full size: I am actually not going to open this lip butter because I am not a fan of coconut and I am thinking of adding this to my giveaway. I bet if you like coconut scented things, you would happy to try this.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Lash Genius Waterproof Top Coat - 3.2 g deluxe sample: Who wouldn't get excited about receiving an Anastasia Beverly Hills product! This is a strange product that I am interested in trying. This is a "top coat" that makes any mascara waterproof. I don't use waterproof mascara normally, so this is a great product to have for those occasions when I do want to use waterproof mascara but I don't want to have to buy one.

Dermadoctor KP Duty Lotion - 30ml deluxe sample: This is a body lotion that is supposed to exfoliate (wuth AHA), calm, hydrate, and get rid of rough chicken skin bumps. I don't know what rough chicken skin bumps are, but I will definitely try this as a body lotion. This is a great sized sample which allows you give it a decent try!

Nicole by OPI Nail Lacquer in Hello World - full size: I am a nail polish junkie so I was happy to see this added in. It is a nice bright orange and the shade name is Hello World... did anyone used to watch Saddle Club when they were younger? The name of this shade brings that theme song in my head :P

StriVectin-EV Get Even Brightening Serum - 1ml sachet: This is a bonus product, and it is a serum that is supposed to make your skin tone brighter in 2 weeks, and fade dark spots in 8 weeks... too bad this tiny sample will only last me one use.

Overall, I am pretty happy with this months box, you definitely get your moneys worth and it contains some nice quality brands. My only disappointment is that I didn't get The Balm How 'Bout Them Apples sample.

  2. Not fair to mention the Saddle Club theme, now I'll have it stuck in my head for days. Petty about the The Balm How 'Bout Them Apples sample; I was also hoping for that sample, but no luck here either. Otherwise yours seem does seem to be a good box.

  3. Thats weird that your OPI says available at Target and Woolworth for $12.95, where as mine is the same colour and it says is available at Leading Salons, Myer & David Jones for $14.94.

  4. This seemed like a pretty great box! I would have loved to get the theBalm blush too. And YES haha, I immediately thought of the Saddle Club theme when I read the name of that polish. Tbh, that song always pops up randomly in my mind...

  8. It's annoying when there's something you REALLY want and you miss out, hey?!

Overall, not too bad a box, but a little sad when you have box envy!

I also have this crazy urge to try applying the moisturiser to a chicken now...
