Lust Have It Box December 2013

December 21, 2013

It's Lust Have It time of the month, and I am sure everyone is expecting big things from their subscription boxes since it is December. I must admit, LHI did ship pretty early this month and it arrived the same day as my Violet box (see review here) and I think it was about a day or so after Bellabox was delivered to people.

For anyone who isn't aware what LHI is, this is an Australian beauty subscription box that costs $19.95 per month and you can join up here. Use the code "kitsch" for $5 off your first box

So above is the card with all the information, you can click on it for a larger image if you want to see the details of each product. Lust Have It also wish us all the best for the festive season! Thanks Lust Have It! Also doesn't the girl on the left look Fran Drescher from The Nanny?

So these are the products, there are two full size items, three decent samples and one sachet sample. This also seems to be a skincare heavy box this month.

SunSense Anti-Ageing Face SPF 30+ - full size: This is probably the thing that was most exciting when I opened this box. I have been using sunscreen on my face every day for over 6 months now, so I love to try out new face moisturisers. This one is SPF 30+ UVA and UVB protection, it is also anti-aging, contains AHAs, and is oil free. I have only used this once and it seemed ok, I just wasn't a fan of the smell, it smelt like PVA glue that has a weird tangy scent to it. This product alone pays for the box, so if I can get over the scent I will be a happy camper!

Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream in the shade Medium - full size: I have two of the oily versions of this bb cream so I won't open this, I might pass it on to a friend. Great addition to the box though, I am sure this would make a lot of people happy.

Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream in the shade Medium - 1ml sample: This is a tiny sample, but at least it will give you one try. I have this bb cream, and it is great for oil control, I just don't use it too much because I prefer bases with more coverage.

Uriage Aquaprecis Refreshing Gel-Cream - 15ml sample: For a product that normally contains 40ml and is valued at $49.95, a 15ml sample is huge! I have been using this for two days now and I haven't noticed a significant difference in how hydrated my skin in, but I do enjoy using this as a day moisturiser. This comes out like a white cream but when you apply it, it feels like a cooling gel. This is quite thin, which is why I like to use it during the day, and it is a great product to use on hot days.

Clairol Visible Repair Intensive Mask - 30ml sample: Some people received this hair mask and others received a Colour Radiance version. This is a hair mask that is designed to deeply nourish, strengthen damaged hair and create shine. I haven't used this yet, but hopefully I like it because the full size is really affordable - $13.95 for 200ml. This deluxe sample will also last me quite a few uses.

Pelactiv Hydrating Cream Cleanser - 30m; sample: Some people received this cleanser and others received the gentle foaming cleanser. I personally would have preferred the gentle foaming cleanser because it is designed for oily and sensitive skin that is prone to break outs (my skin is oily and prone to breakouts). This hydrating cream cleanser contains antioxidants and green tea extracts. I have used it once and it did seem quite nice, but I find that these don't take off makeup so I can only use them in the morning after I wake up.

So that's my December LHI box, I think it's a great value box and if you are going to use the sunscreen and the bb cream, then the value of just those two products alone have nearly doubled the price of the box. I can imagine that people who aren't into skincare would hate this months box, but I personally love it!

  1. I got the same box except I received the Pelactiv foaming cleanser. The SunSense smells rank but I used it yesterday and the smell died down pretty quickly on my face. I was happy with the box but pretty disappointed about the lack of festiveness.. They could've thrown in a candy cane!

  2. I'm pretty happy about mine! It's definitely a skincare box, and given how hot it is in Sydney at the moment, I'm pretty grateful for it!
