I have been resisting buying this for a while, but I have heard great reviews online and when a good friend from work recommended this (she has three shades) then I had to buy it. This is the Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayons in the shade 04 Peach on the Beach. There are four shades in this range, there is this peach, a red, an orange and a fuchsia. I bought this from Priceline for $15.
This is another twist up crayon lip balm product. I fell in love with the Revlon Kissable Balm Stains but I have been a little sick of seeing these types of products popping up from every brand. Like the Revlon Kissable Balm Stain, the packaging of this balm is the same colour as the balm, which makes it easy to spot in your bag/makeup collection. This also claims to have waterproof colour, 10 hour hydration and SPF of 15.
This is a really pretty peach shade, but it appears more pink on the lips than in the tube. This isn't a stain, its just a coloured balm. You can build the colour up, but the more you build it up the chunkier the colour gets (which you can sort of see happening in the arm swatch above). This works best if you just apply one layer and don't build it up too much.
This isn't as pigmented as I was expecting, but it does last pretty well for a tinted balm... which is essentially what this is! It also feels really comfortable and this particular shade is perfect for warmer weather.
Overall, I highly recommend this if you like tinted balms, but if you want more opaque colour then this product (or at least this shade) isn't for you. What I love most about this product is the shade, I love bright coral shades and this is a nice way to wear a coral lip on a daily basis. This would be also great to apply over a coral lipstick to add more moisture (although the moisture does not last anywhere close to 10 hours). I would have liked this to be slightly more pigmented but I like this Color Boost Lip Crayon nonetheless.
