Magazine makeup freebies

October 20, 2013

This is a really quick post just showing some makeup freebies that you can get with this months In Style magazine and Vogue magazine.

I am not a big fan of buying magazines, but I managed to get a free Vogue when I went to a Vogue event last week (which I will post about soon) and I couldn't pass up the In Style magazine that has three full size Napoleon Perdis products as a gift.

In the In Style magazine you get a peachy nude lip gloss, a mascara and a nude pink cream blush. What I find a little annoying about these products is that they aren't part of the permanent Napoleon range, so it makes me wonder whether they mass produce cheaper versions of their products just to give away in magazines. This claims to be a value of $82. These products don't have fancy names or shades, they are just "Mascara", "Lip Gloss" and "Cream Blush". After saying all of that, I do really like the cream blush, it is really easy to apply and it is a really pretty colour.

Top: Cream Blush, Bottom: Lip Gloss

With this months Vogue you get a mini Mecca Cosmetica nail polish in the shade Vogue Sorbet. This is a really pretty bright pastel pink and the formula is also pretty good. I am loving this shade and I highly recommend getting the magazine for this polish. I think this is a limited edition shade as I can't find it on the Mecca Cosmetica site.

So those are a few goodies that you might want to check out if you love freebies with magazines!

  1. I love magazine freebies! The blusher looks really pretty :)

  2. I bought Instyle for that cream blush, but I find your point about it possibly being a cheap mass production very interesting. I too was frustrated at the lack of product/shade names, it makes it harder to enjoy the blush for me (silly though that may seem)

    1. No I totally agree with you... and because it of, I probably won't get much use out of the mascara or lipgloss, but I do think the blush is nice regardless :)

  3. The InStyle freebies were very enticing - though I also found it weird they weren't products from the normal line. They seemed to have been produced purely because of the magazine promotion. Oh well, still good when they're free :p
