This months box contained quite a lot of cards - most were discount cards (for wine, The Iconic, and also Le Tan products) and then there were two information cards for two of the products contained in this months box.

The theme of this box was Spring Racing Carnival, which is very appropriate for this time of the year. This months box contains two full size products and four decent sized samples.

Le Tan Wash Off Bronze 40ml sample: This is a very good size sample and it is very appropriate for the Spring Racing theme. This is a spray on tan that is supposed to be streak free, easy to apply, and dries in 60 seconds. The colour is a decent bronze shade and, as far as I can tell, this does not contain shimmer (see swatch below). When I was swatching this I did realise that if you don't shake this well enough, it does tend to leave drops on your skin... so I sense that getting this to apply nice and evenly will take some practice.
UPDATE: Ok I tried to use this yesterday and maaaan it was a pain in the arse. It is pretty dark so I ended up with patches of overly bronzed skin. I ended up having to use a tanning mitt to blend it in. I think if you wanted crazy dark legs then this might be good, but if you want a light spray of it, it won't work. Oh and I did experience a few drips of it on my legs, which also needed to be blended.

Smitten Cosmetics Whipped Tinted Mousse Moisturiser in the shade Cappuccino sample (not sure the size): I want to say first off that I thought the shade "cappuccino" would be quite dark, but this ended up being quite perfect for my skin tone (see swatch below). I love the feel and finish of this - it is a mousse that is easy to apply and sets quite demi-matte. But there are a few things that I didn't like, firstly it smells quite odd, secondly it tends to look quite yellow after a few hours (I am assuming that it oxidises), and lastly I find that it starts to break down by the end of the day and it starts to look quite patchy. So on first impression, I would use this if I knew I wasn't wearing my makeup for very long, but this isn't great for a working day.

Inika Mineral Eyeshadow in Lemon Cream - Full size: I love pigments (even though I rarely reach for them on a daily basis). This is a nice light yellow gold shimmery shade, that is quite sheer but buildable. I will most likely use this as an inner corner highlight shade for when I am doing gold or bronze eye makeup. See swatch below.

Paula's Choice Oil Blotting Papers: This is a sample pack, but I am unsure how many sheets it contains. The full size contains 100 sheets, so if I like these a full pack should last me a long time. I like the concept of oil absorbing sheets that claim to keep you matte without disturbing your makeup, but I haven't used oil blotting sheets since I was 16 (I am just too addicted to powder these days). I do have issues with oily t-zone so I will give these a go and see if I like them.

Evo Ritual Salvation Care Shampoo and Conditioner - 50ml samples: These contain a decent amount of product and should last a few uses. I will use these tomorrow and let you guys know what I think!
UPDATE: These are quite nice, they have a fruity scent and they added quite a lot of volume to my hair.

Princess Skincare Hyaluronic Acid Mask - full size: This is the last full size product and it is a cloth mask that retails for $25. This is designed for dehydrated skin and it is supposed to mimic the hyaluronic acid that is naturally found in your body and it is supposed to reduce wrinkles and help elasticity... we will see!

So that's it! What did you think of this months LHI box?
Check back tomorrow for my Wantable box blog post!

  4. Loved this month's box too - my eyeshadow was 'lust' and a pretty blue/green and last months brush will be handy for applying.

Cappuccino shade is too light for me - but using bronzer over the top fixed that. I found it quite good.

I counted the blotting paper sheets (thinking there was 10 or 20) and there is 50!
