Benjabelle Mini Brush Tree

October 10, 2013

I was lucky enough to receive this Benjabelle Mini Brush Tree from Lipstick Republic. This retails for $29.95 but you can use the code "RepublicVIBs" or 10% off your order.

So this is a smaller version of the Benjabelle brush tree, and what that means is that the holes are smaller (so it only fits thinner handled brushes) but it holds 24 brushes instead of the original Benjabelle brush tree that can hold up to 14 large brushes. You can also buy the Original Brush Tree and the Daisy Brush Tree from Lipstick Republic.

So this comes in a flat pack type box, but it is super easy to assemble! What I like about the brush tree is that you can take it apart and you can store it flat in a drawer.

Ta-daa! A brush tree!

So to use this you insert the brushes through the bottom of the tree (I guess this is so you don't ruin your bristles by threading it through the top). The silicone grippers surprisingly hold the brushes really securely. The aim of this tree is to help dry your brushes.

It benefit of using this tree is so you can dry your brushes with the bristle part facing down. This might sound a little strange to some people, but if you try your brushes in a container with the brisles facing up, then water can gather in the ferrule (the metal part of the brush) and the water can over time dissolve the glue and can damage your brushes. Also if this helps dry your brushes much quicker than if you dry them on their side on a towel (which is what I used to do)

I am a big fan of this brush tree, it is surprisingly really handy to have. I know this is not something that everyone is concerned about, but if you have invested in a decent quality brush collection, you really do want the brushes to last!

  2. I bought the Original one and I'm now spot cleaning my brushes more because I have it set up in my make up room all the time. It's perfect! It makes me wander the damage that's previously been caused by just laying them flat when wet, I wish I'd bought one sooner!

  3. Oh man, that's freaking awesome! I wish I had one of these, I lay mine flat for them to dry over night because like everyone else I don't want the water going into the feral too much! This is so smart!

  5. I've been looking at these recently.. but wasn't sure about them. But.. they look pretty darn cool! Might have to pick one up as drying my makeup brushes are a nightmare.. especially in winter! (Although now it's summer, it might be easier!)

  6. I own the original sized Benjabelle brush tree and absolutely love it. It makes washing brushes so much more convenient than before. I used to lay them flat on the edges of the sink and I'd always find a way to knock them off! I love how you can also disassemble it so it saves space but its also great to store the brushes on display like that too.
