Lust Have It September 2013 Box

September 26, 2013

My blog will be bombarded with subscription boxes because I have received 3 boxes in the last 2 days! I showed the September Bellabox yesterday and I will be showing whats in my Wantable box tomorrow, but today is Lust Have It (LHI).

For those who don't know how LHI boxes work, they cost $19.95 a month and they are supposed to contain over $60 worth of products each month. You can sign up here, and use the discount code "KITSCH" to get $5 off your first box.

So the information card is above, it shows the details of each product and also the retail price of the full size product.

So here are the products. There were quite a lot of things in this months box, so it is pretty good value for money but I am not sure if it is over $60 value as claimed.

Lust Have It Synthetic Precision Pencil Brush: Brushes are always handy to have, and this would be good for applying concealer, lipstick or to apply eyeshadow on your lower lash line. This is supposed to be a LHI brand of brush, but it feels very similar to Crown brushes.

Karpati Bio Intelligent Bio-Cellulose Sensitive Mask: There wasn't anything on this card about this mask so I don't know much about it. It is a cloth mask though and I will definitely give it a go.

Wotnot Natural Organic Facial Wipes - 5 wipes: I haven't used this brand of makeup wipes, but I have seen them do the rounds in subscription boxes. I am keen to try them out.

L'Oreal Base Magique Primer - 5ml sample: I got this sample in last months Bellabox (along with the TOM tampon pack) so I wasn't too excited to see this. I know it's not LHIs fault, but it would be good if they could check what the competition is giving out. Nevertheless, I like this primer and I think it works quite well.

Baji Kakadu Plum Antioxidant Formula Facial Scrub: I wasn't sure if this was a full size product or not, and looking at the card it just says to refer to the LUSTRE magazine for product information... well I looked up LUSTRE magazine, which is LHIs online magazine, and I couldn't find any information on this product. The magazine is 80-odd pages long so I might have missed it. I did see that on the Baji website that the 79ml tube of this retails for $19.99, so maybe this 40ml tub is a travel size? The active ingredients in this include Natural Alpha Hydroxy acid, Beta Hydroxy Acid, Bamboo powder, Vitamin A, Green Tea, Vitamin E and C. I am really interested in using this, but it doesn't smell too nice :P

TOM Organic Regular Tampons - 2 pack: I also got this in last months Bellabox. I haven't used the last ones yet so I don't know what they are like but I do like the idea of organic cotton etc.

Monteil Paris Le Nouveau Parfum - 2ml sample: This is a nice soft floral perfume that most people would find quite wearable. This is going straight in my handbag.

L'Oreal Infallible Make-up Liquid Foundation - 1ml sample in the shade 140 Golden Beige: I haven't tried this foundation yet so I am keen to try it out. I am sure I can squeeze one or two uses out of this sample.

Mary Kay Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover - 29ml mini size: This is a great sized makeup remover for traveling, so I might hold onto it for whenever I go away next. This is one of those makeup removers that have half oil and half water that you shake before you use, yet this says its oil free... hmmm strange. I love makeup removers that contain oil so I will probably get along well with this.

GKMBJ Soothing and Nourishing Shampoo and Conditioner - 30g samples: I got these in a LHI box at the end of last year, so this is a repeat product. I really liked the shampoo and conditioner when I used them the first time, but I hated the packaging because the hard plastic makes it hard to get all of the product out. Good product though.

Overall this is a pretty good box. It contained quite a lot of products (even though there weren't many full sized items). I was only a bit underwhelmed because I had received the tampons and primer in last months Bellabox (not that I blame LHI for that) and because I had received the shampoo and conditioner samples in a previous box as well. If I hadn't tried these products before I would have been pretty chuffed with this box.

Keep an eye out for my Wantable box opening!

  1. I like your box a lot better than what I received. Though I agree they wouldn't have been $60 worth (it was almost sample sized everything)

  2. My box is exactly the same, and I'm really happy with it :) I mentioned the extra Karpati mask on their FB and was told they had extras that they didn't want to go to waste so threw them in.. bonus! {And apparently all the Karpati items included this month were all valued at over $40 each} I really liked the perfume and am keen to try the clay and cloth masks :)

  8. Hey Kat, is there any info in your box on where to buy that perfume? I saw another blogger said they had a 20% off card but didn't say where it was from and I can't find where to get it anywhere! Thanks in advance!
