Lust Have It July 2013 box

July 23, 2013

It's July Lust Have It time of the month, and I am sorry if these photos aren't the best quality, I have started a new job and I can either take these photos when the sun is going down, or I can wait until the weekend - I would prefer to get this post up ASAP!

Lust Have It is an Australian beauty subscription box which costs $19.95 per month. If you are thinking of signing up, then use the discount code "kitsch" for $5 off your first order. You can sign up at http://www.lusthaveit.com.au/

I also did an opening video for this box:

The loose theme of this box is lustre vibrant beauty... these are supposed to be products that keep you looking vibrant on the inside and out. You can see a close up of the information card that was included in the box. This card contains information about each product and their full size retail value.

I think Lust Have It were listening to feedback from last month (where they didn't have any full size items in the June box), and they have compensated by including 8 products, 5 of them being full size items.

Health Essentials zNano Active Gold Eye Patches anti wrinkle (one pair): These are weird golden jelly patches that you stick under your eyes and leave for 20-30 min. I don't know how well they worked (I used them last night) but they did create a nice cooling feel under my eyes. These are stored in liquid so they are quite wet when you apply them. These were fun to use, but I will have to see if I notice any great effect before I buy a pack of 10 pairs.

Nude By Nature Natural Tinted Mineral Moisturiser with Sunscreen - full size: When I first saw this, I thought this was just a moisturiser, but it's not, it's a tinted moisturiser. Being an oily skinned gal, I tend to steer clear of tinted moisturisers but I like that this can be used as a primer or base to your foundation. Normally I am not a big fan of Nude By Nature, but I will give this a go as a base to my makeup. I will have to take swatch photos soon.

Schwarzkopf Extra Care Volume Powder - full size: I love volumising powders, but I haven't yet tried this particular one yet. On a quick side note, have you ever tried to spell Schwarzkopf? It is a hard brand name to spell! This is the type of volume powder where you sprinkle it into your hair and then to rub it in and it creates a lot of volume. I find I often do this on second day hair or if I am going out and want more volumised hair.

Swisse Hand Cream with vitamin F & Pomegranate 100ml sampple: This is one of my favourite hand creams ever, so I am really glad I got this. It smells nice and lemongrassy, and it is thick but is not at all greasy. I have bought this hand cream before and I am super happy to have this sample for my handbag.

California Mango and Jojoba Body Lotion - full size: This is advertised as being one of the most popular products in the beauty industry... but I have never heard of it! It doubles as a hand cream and a body lotion, and it smells like mango - real mango, not artificial mango. Since I don't really need any hand creams, I might use this on my legs and arms as a body lotion.

Knotties by Condition Culture Hair Ties - two tied: I don't have long hair so I can't use these, but I am sure they will come in handy to a lot of people. I will give mine to a friend.

Colorsmash by Condition Culture Hair Shadow - full size: I was a but skeptical about this hair chalking product... but after looking at the website (see website here), I watched the video and it actually looks like its quite easy to use and quite fun! I got a dark brick red shade (Sangria) but I kinda wish I got some crazy magenta shade or something like that, because I don't see brick red as being all that fun. Nevertheless, this is a really intriguing product!

Health Essentials Maqui Berry Active - 6g sachet: This is a bit of a bonus product. It is a powder that you add to smoothies or juice or water and it is supposed to be full of antioxidants. I go through health kick phases, and I'm not in one at the moment so I will try this, but if I like it, I probably won't buy it until I am in a healthy mood :P

Overall, I was pretty happy with this months box! It has definitely been the best LHI box out of the last few months. Let me know what you guys think of this box, did you get anything different?

  1. I was actually happy with this month's box! I didn't get a crazy colour for the colorsmash either but I love the idea of it!

  2. The eye patches looks (and sounds) exactly the same as the ocean essence 24k gold eye masks i received a few months back from LHI. Like others, I didn't really like the hair shadow... might be good for kids though?

  3. This months box was so much better than the past few months. I also luckily (for once) got a super bright hot pink chalk for my colorsmash which I'm pretty keen to try out at some point.

  4. Looks interesting, but I already use some of those products, so I would've been disappointed to get stuff that I already have!

But for so little money! I could justify it :D

  5. I was happy with this months box too :) I didn't get the mango handcream, but a hydrating primer instead, so I'm happy to try that. I would have liked a really bright chalk colour too, I've seen a turquoise coloured one, that would be great! Mine's the same as yours. :)
