ICON India Shampoo, Conditioner, Healing Spray, and Oil review

June 21, 2013

A few weeks ago I was asked by Nick, from Salon Cosmetics, to sample some of ICON India range that they have currently launched. I have never heard of this brand before, but I love trying out new hair products, so of course I said yes! I was sent a travel size shampoo, conditioner, healing spray and the oil. These products are supposedly used by celebrities such as Penelope Cruz, Madonna and Avirl Lavigne... so they can't be too bad right?

These claim to combine the miracle of moringa (to add shine and strength), the essence of argan (to nourish) and the scent of amber (to evoke peace). I just want to say now that these smell AMAZING! Each of these products have the same Indian spicey amber scent, which I adore! It is the nicest scent to use on a cold Winter day if you want to feel cozy and warm. If you are the type of person who loved the idea of a spiced scented candle, then you will love these! If you aren't a big fan of warm amber scents, then you may not like these because they are pretty strongly scented. I personally would buy these just for the scent!

I love this range! The shampoo lathers really nicely and makes my hair really clean and volumised, the conditioner makes my hair really smooth. After I have washed my hair I spray the healing spray into my damp hair, which acts as a leave in conditioner, and then put some of the oil on my hands and I work it through my hair to add extra shine. I love hair oils, but I am quite picky with them because I hate oils that make my hair greasy. Luckily this oil absorbs really well and doesn't weigh my hair down!

l-r shampoo, conditioner, healing spray

I wanted to include a photo of the shampoo, the conditioner and the healing spray, because I was surprised to see that each product looks really different! You can also see from the photo above that the healing spray is actually a cream that you spray into damp hair and it works as a leave in conditioning treatment. It looks a bit strange that it is so thick, but it does spray quite evening into your hair, and then you comb in through.

I have been using this range for a few weeks now, and I look forward to washing my hair because my hair ends up feeling super clean, super soft and it smells amazing!

The full ICON India range contains a shampoo, a conditioner, a healing spray, an oil, a curl cream and a hair masque, and you can buy them all at Hair2Go. These products aren't the cheapest hair products, but on the Hair2Go website you can get some amazing packs! I am eying off the Duo Pack or the Discovery Pack! You can also get everything that I have mentioned in this review by buying the Travel Pack... I might get another one of these packs when I go traveling next!

Have you heard of this brand before, or have you tried any of their products? What did you think?

  1. I know you are also a fan of the Suigo range. Do you prefer this range over that? I got some Suigo hair products on your recommendation and do love them.

    1. I think Suigo is a thicker more "salon" brand... and I like the feel of Suigo shampoo and conditioner more. But I love the scent of this range, and I like that it has oils and treatments too. I love them both!

    2. I'm glad you loved the Suigo products :)

  2. I received this in the mail today! Excited to try them after read your review :) yay!

  3. I too am in the midst of trialing these :) And am loving the scent. I was amazed when I saw the conditioner was green :) and the spray is actually a cream in a pump. I'm also loving the oil which is really serum-like... so far, so very good. When I get my review up in the next week or so, I'll also be having a giveaway so keep your eyes peeled for that one :)
