March 2013 Favourites

April 2, 2013

I thought I had more favourites than this, but I walked around my bathroom and picked up the products that I have been loving, and this is what I came up with.

Biore Combination Skin Balancing Cleanser: I bought this aaaages ago after trying a sample of it and loving it instantly. This has been sitting under my sink for months while I have been trying to use up other cleansers. I finally cracked this baby open and I am loving it. It is a thick gel type cleanser that lathers up so nicely and feels super fresh and clarifying. This is for combination/oily skin so I wouldn't recommend this to dry skinned people, it would probably dry you out.  Super cheap, super awesome. The only thing that I don't like about this is the scent, it almost smells savory.

MAC Cream Colour Base in Movie Star Red: I have been loving this on my cheeks this month. It is super long lasting, gives a great pop of colour and is perfect to pair it with a nude eye. This also a nice lip colour. See my review and video on how I apply this here.

Benefit Crease Cream Colour Base in Marry Up: This is my favourite eye product ever and I can easily have this in my favourites every month. It is a great colour, it lasts all day without creasing (and you don't need to use a primer or add an eyeshadow over the top). Love love love.

Suigo Ultimate Control Shampoo and Conditioner: Even though these are just samples, they are big samples and I have been using them from the last week or more. These are really nice, they smell nice and they leave my hair really salon soft feeling. I would definitely buy the full size products. See full review here.

Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette: Even though I have only had this for a week, I have worn this probably 6/7 days. It is definitely a palette that has all you need for an everyday eye look. Super happy with this palette. My favourite shades are the taupe crease shade and the highlight shade. See review here.

Wet n Wild Greed Palette: Before I got the Naked Basics palette I was using this palette for a nude matte eye look. I am torn with this palette - the mattes are amazing, but the shimmers are meh and I don't use them. I wish this was just a matte palette with more matte shades, or just bigger matte shadows. Even though I have the Naked Basics palette, I still like using these two nude matte shades because they give a more nude peachy look which is a bit more brighter and colourful than the Naked Palette. See review here.

Random favourites time!

My first random favourite is the road trip to Apollo Bay and The Otway Zip Line Tour. Not only was it great to get away with friends, but the zip line tour was a lot of fun!

Here is a random photo from the 12 Apostles... pretty!

Lastly, I wanted to mention that I really enjoyed the end of Girls Season 2. The boys really make the ending super cute. Great show!

  1. I love the Biore cleanser as well! Do you know any where you can buy Marry Up? I have Busy Signal, but I like that marry up isn't as dark.

  2. Great picks! Wow, Marry Up looks like such a lovely, versatile shade that would be so perfect for summer and the Wet N' Wild Greed palette looks incredible for a smokey eye. I recently discovered the Wet N' Wild Cover All cream foundation and have been loving it! $5 and it's fantastic :)
