My Lust Have It box has finally arrived! This arrived much later than I was expecting, and my annual subscription has run out so it has only given me 4 days decided whether I want to resubscribe (which I no doubt will). This costs $19.95 per month, but if you want to subscribe then you can use the discount code KITSCH to get $5 off your first box at http://www.lusthaveit.com.au
I have filmed an opening video for this box...
For the past three-four months, the Lust Have It boxes have been arriving in these patterned boxes. The pattern and colour varies each month... these are really great to use as storage boxes.
This is a pretty jam packed box. There are two full sized products in my box - a papaw ointment and an eyeshadow, and there are also some samples of some pretty expensive products. I actually missed out on the Rachel K CC Cream samples... but no doubt if I contact LHI, they will send them out (I'll keep you guys posted).
Aveda Invati Exfoliating Shampoo and Thickening Conditioner - 10ml samples: These are really expensive products! The full sizes are 200ml and cost $49.00 and $49.95. I don't know if I have ever used such expensive hair products... I am curious to see how my hair responds to some exfoliating.
Edit: These are strange products, the shampoo is really runny and doesn't foam up, and both the shampoo and conditioner smell really herbal. My hair does feel nice and clean, and pretty soft, but I don't know if I like the idea of a shampoo that doesn't foam.
Nude By Nature Papaw Ointment - full size: This is MASSIVE! Holy shit what a big tub of papaw ointment! I have never been a big papaw ointment fan, but I am more than happy to keep this next to my bed for a night time lip treatment. This is also petrochemical free, unlike Vaseline and other papaw ointments. This is quite a thin ointment, and is not at all sticky, but this also has little chunks in it, which you can see in the photo below. I don't know if this is supposed to have little chunks, or if this is just something that is on the surface of the balm... who knows? Anyway, this smells really nice and I am happy to use it. This is also a really affordable product - $12.95 for 75g.
Gosh Cosmetics Mono Eye Shadow - full size: This is in the shade 016 Aubergine which is a really pretty dark purple. I don't have a shade like this, but I can imagine getting a lot of use out of this since it is a great Autumn shade and would work well with bronzes and coppers. This is really smooth to apply and has no fall out, but it isn't the most pigmented eyeshadow, and it needs some building up.
Molton Brown Patchouli and Saffron Body Wash - 30ml sample: This is a really nice smelling body wash, it is a really nice warm floral scent. A lot of people would be sick of body wash and shampoo samples, but I haven't tried Molton Brown, and I will be using this ASAP!
AWE Cosmeceuticals Nirvaata Calming Serum - 5ml sample: This is a barrier serum that is designed to protect the skin against sensitives etc, this is a great idea for people with sensitive skin... but I don't have sensitive skin so it's not really for me. I might take this traveling instead of bringing a full size serum with me.
Pink Tiger Duri Cosmetics Nail Tools: Nail File and Lint-Free Gauze: Gauze is the best thing to take nail polish off with! When I used to work in a lab I used to take gauze home to take my nail polish off with... it works well because it is quite rough and really scrubs the polish off. I don't know how much this claims to cost, but I work at a hospital and these are pretty easily accessible for me. This pack does contain 200 sheets which will last ages.
Overall this box is not the best box, but its pretty good... even without the CC Cream samples!
Did you get this box, or did you get something different? What did you think?
