February 2013 Favourites

March 1, 2013

I wanted to keep it simple for this favourites post, so I only picked six favourites. I am sure there are heaps more items that I have been loving, but these are the ones that come to mind instantly. All of these products are new things that I got in Feb.

China Glaze Fast Freeze Quick Dry: I reviewed this earlier today, because I have been loving this product and I wanted to get a quick review in before this favourites post. I tend to wear quite a lot of layers of nail polish, and this quick dry liquid makes my nails touch dry in 30 seconds! Now I can do my nails before bed without getting crease lines! It is also oil and alcohol free. This is a must for anyone who loves doing their nails. See my review here.

Max Factor Xperience Weightless Foundation: What I love about this foundation is that it is so easy to apply and it feels like you're not wearing any foundation! This is also a slightly dewy finish, but unlike other dewy finish foundations, it doesn't get oily only my skin until about 6 hours of wear... which is definitely very good for my combination oily skin. I keep reaching for this foundation because it's just so comfortable! See my full review here.

Saucebox Midnight Blossoms Palette: I love Saucebox Cosmetics, and as soon as this new palette was released at lipstickrepublic.com I knew that I needed it! It contains 12 large shadows and has a mix of wearable colours as well as nudes. This palette has encouraged me to wear more colour this month. See full review here.

Colgate Optic White Toothpaste: I thought I would quickly mention this toothpaste, I will probably write a full review soon, but I love it, so I thought I should mention it now. This is a new whitening toothpaste which claims to make your teeth 3 shades whiter in 4 weeks. I don't know if it does yet, but it feels almost menthol-ish and I really like the feeling.

MAC Mineralized Skinfinish in Stereo Rose and Soft And Gentle: I have been loving the look of glowing skin lately, and also coral cheeks. I have used Stereo Rose as a soft shimmery coral blush for the majority of the month, and when I am not using it, I use Soft and Gentle as a highlight. I need to make the most of shimmery looking skin while the weather is sill nice and warm. See my full review of these here.

I forgot to include this in my favourites, so I am adding it to the end :P

St Ives Naturally Clear Green Tea Scrub: This is my all time favourite scrub, and I used it for aged but then wanted to try other brands, and I am so glad that I have come back to this scrub, it is awesome! If you love a scrub that actually scrubs, then try this! The exfoliating beads are really small so it would possibly also work for people who have sensitive skin. See my full review here.

So that's it! What are your favourite products of last month?

  1. The China Glaze Fast Freeze polish sounds like exactly what I need! I always do my nails at night and get so tired I end up falling asleep with them not completely dried. Will have to try this out! Also, I can't wait for you review on that toothpast, so strange, but I've always wondered how well it works :)

    The Mod Mermaid

    1. Thats exactly what I do with my nail polish too!

  2. The eyeshadow swatches look great and the scrub sounds lovely! Mmm green tea :)

  3. The china glaze quick dry polish sounds fab! I've been loving sechevite for a few months now, but I must give this a try! It sounds quite comparable to sechevite x

  4. That palette looks amazing, and I love the sound of that foundation on your skin. China Glaze sounds like a dream, I love fast drying topcoats as it means I can change my nail colour a lot more frequently.

  5. I actually need a new topcoat! Almost finished with my Seche Vite topcoat so I might try the China Glaze one. Sounds just as good :D

  6. I love the look of the palette :) I really want to get that toothpaste too, after getting my teeth whitened yesterday. My favourites have been nars products, it's up on my blog if you want to check it out.

  7. Great selection! Both of those MAC Skinfinishes look incredible and that Saucebox palette looks wonderful :)

  8. Need to try that top coat - it sounds like a lifesaver! I love the St Ives scrubs, I'm using the normal apricot one and I occasionally use the anti-ageing one. The green tea one is next on my list :)

    1. I think the green tea one works better thab the anti aging one, which is too creamy for a scrub in my opinion :p The fast dry stuff is more of a nail treatment than a top coat... I still use a top coat for the shine and then add this over it all to dry it quickly
