De Lorenzo Instant Rejuven8 Treatment: Ok firstly, I am not keen on the word "rejuven8", we're not writing text messages in 2001! With the name aside, I wasn't too keen on this product, it is a deep conditioning treatment, but I found it quite waxy and it only really softened my hair after leaving it in for 5min+, which doesn't make it very appropriate for showers. It did smell nice however, almost like apple and blackcurrant juice. I did get this from the October Lust Have It box, but I wouldn't repurchase this.

Apivita Express Beauty with Apricot and with Grape: I really enjoyed both of these products, the Apricot exfoliant smells amazing and actually does a great job as a scrub...  I wish this came in a bottle, because I would absolutely buy it, but I can't justify spending money on the sachets all the time. The grape one is an eye mask that you're supposed to leave on overnight. I find this to be amazing if you put it on your whole face overnight... it makes your skin soooo smooth! This costs $7.90 for two sachets, and I can get two uses out of each sachet... I have repurchased this, and I will again.

Kosmea Skin Clinic Rosehip Oil: This stuff has changed my skin! I even had this in my top products of 2012! This has evened out my oily skin, has stopped me from breaking out, and has made my skin super soft. Kosmea is a harder brand of rosehip oil to find, you have to get it online or at selected David Jones stores, and it is one of the pricier rosehip oils on the market. I have since repurchased another one, and in my opinion (and my boyfriends opinion) its not as good as the Kosmea one, so we will place an online order soon. I will have rosehip oil as part of my skin routine forever.

4me Nail Polish Remover Pads: I got this in a Bellabox, and at first I was really impressed with these, until I realised that the oily residue that it leaves on your fingers actually instantly eats away at plastic or varnish... so if you were removing your nail polish and then reached for your phone or your remote control then it would instantly eat away at the plastic. Not cool. Anyway after leaving marks on my camera and my remote control, I will never buy this product! See my review here.

Korres Guava Body Butter: I really loved having this in my handbag, it is a thick body butter and smells almost like a warm vanilla mixed with guava. Its a great winter scent. I would consider repurchasing this, but they are pretty expensive so I would only buy it if I could find it on sale at strawberrynet again.

Rexona Women Sports Antiperspirant Deodorant: I bought a bunch of Rexona deodorants when they were 99c at Priceline. I am not the biggest fan of the sporty scents, but they do work better than the other ones. I would consider buying this again.

Carmex Cherry lip balm: I love Carmex, but I wasn't a big fan of this Cherry one (or the Strawberry one that I haven't finished yet). The formula is a bit runnier than the original, and even though it does smell nice, it also tastes like perfume, which I wasn't impressed with. I much prefer the original formula, and won't be buying this again!

Lancome Rénergie Morpholift R.A.R.E: I liked this as a night moisturiser, it was thick and didn't leave my skin feeling greasy, and it had a nice clean scent. I would consider repurchasing this, but it is no longer available.

Sportsgirl Butter Dream Vanilla Body Butter: This does have a strong vanilla scent, but its quite an artificial vanilla... almost like vanilla candles. This is a thick body butter that almost had a spongy/foamy texture, rather than a creamy texture. For the price these are pretty good value, they retail for $9.95 and contain 200g, and you can often find them on sale for around $5. This isn't a luxurious body butter however, and if you like an indulgent body butter then you might want to invest in one from the Body Shop for just under $30. This does the job and if I am on a budget, or see these on sale, I will definitely get it again.

Nivea Pure Invisible 48 Hour No White Marks Antiperspirant Deodorant: I got these in a double pack a while ago, and I think they were on sale for something crazy cheap like $3. These worked decently, but I think the cans lasted very long... sure I did start both of these before January, but I don't think I have ever finished two pray deodorants in one month! I would buy them again if they were on special, but I wouldn't go out of my way to replace them.

Garnier Clean Detox Refreshing Cleansing Gel: I liked this cleanser, it smells nice and fresh and does a good job at foaming up and cleaning your skin... I did get over it though, and ever since getting my Clarisonic Mia, I have been turning towards cream cleansers more and more (which is very rare for me!). Since this was just sitting there, I started using it on my shower puff as a body wash. I have had this before, and I would repurchase it again when I feel like a fresh gel cleanser.

Difflam-C Anti-Inflammatory Antiseptic Solution: In December I got braces and maaaan do they hurt when you first get them on or when you get them tightened. I had this antiseptic solution sitting around from when the boyfriend was sick, and I loved using this when my mouth was hurting because it numbed my mouth really well. I would repurchase if I ever have mouth or throat pain in the future.
Colgate Neutra Fluor 220: Again with the braces talk... the orthodontist recommended this mouth wash because it has a high fluoride content and it helps protect your teeth. I have since bought three bottles of this, as Coles was having a buy two and get a third free sale on the Colgate mouthwash range... these cost around $12 normally, but if it's good for my teeth, I might continue buying this instead of going back to the normal Colgate Plax when I finally get my braces off.
Priceline Round Cotton Pads: These have pretty much featured in ever one of my favourites posts, and they will continue to feature in them... they do the job and they are cheap!

And now for some of the samples that I used up... I have used up more than this, but often I don't have an opinion either way with samples, and instead of me writing something like "meh, had no opinion", I have decided to only include samples that I loved or that I hated.

Sukin Facial Moisturiser: This smells really nice, almost like lemon biscuits. It has a good consistency and I would definitely consider buying this moisturiser.

Philosophy Hope In A Jar: I hated this! It is runny like a serum, and is too light for a moisturiser. It also smells gross - it smells savory, almost like the lemon and herbs that you would have with fish. This also stings my eyes. I don't know why Oprah loved this so much... unless I got a bad batch?

Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Cleanser: Is it just me or does this not foam very well? I have heard a lot of hype about this product, but it didn't really impress me, I mainly used it just to use it up... wouldn't purchase.

Peter Thomas Roth Mega Rich Body Wash: This body wash looked really strange, it is a runny clear yellow toned gel with white and blue micro-beads in it. What I did love about this was that it smells amazing, like an orange icy pole or something yummy, and the smell lingers on your skin - almost like how Lush body washes leave your skin and whole bathroom smelling nice. In addition to this, it foamed up really well and was just a nice body wash to use! Would definitely consider purchasing in the future.

Klorane Shampoo and Mango Conditioner: I got these in the Lust Have It box last month and I had mixed feelings about them. The shampoo was ok, but had a really odd earthy scent (nice way of saying that it smells like dirt). The conditioner on the other hand, was a nice thick creamy conditioner and had a delicious mango scent. I would buy the conditioner, but probably not the shampoo... it was a very strange pair!

So that's it! My empties basket is now empty and I'm curious to see what I will fill it with throughout February!

  1. I have that Peter Thomas Roth sample too! Got it free with my Beautybay order :) smells so good, glad it feels good too.

Apivita is such a nice brand, I love it!

  2. I saw the Sports Girl body butter on sale a little while ago but couldn't get past the smell, I'm sure some people would love it but I just couldn't stand it.

    Great post!

    1. Vanilla is ok, but I can't do the tropical!

  3. I have a sample of the Peter Thomas Roth body wash, but I haven't used it yet. I had a similar experience with the Neutrogena cleanser.

  4. Wow, you did a great job on emptying your products! Mine is not as much as yours this month.. I also finished a Korres Guava but it was a shower gel (which I love ;D).
