My mini morning facial routine: Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser

December 25, 2012

I won this Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser kit from Jane's 50th post giveaway on her blog The Prime Of Miss Laura Jane. I was super happy to win this, because Liz Earle is very difficult to get in Australia... you can pretty much only get this on ebay.

Look what I received from Jane! It was wrapped like a cute Chritsmas present, and included the Liz Earle kit, a pack with a soap and a few sachets, and a lovely card.

This pack comes with two muslin cloths and a 100ml bottle of Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish. The bottle has a pump applicator, and one pump dispenses enough for one whole application.

This cleanser is a very thick cream cleanser which contains cocoa butter, chamomile, hops and eucalyptus. This is a two phase process, with phase one being the cleansing and phase two being the polishing. The information card below describes how you use this kit.

Essentially how this works is that you massage the cleanser into your dry skin, then you soak the muslin cloth in hot water and wring it out so it's damp, and then you wipe the cleanser off with the muslin cloth. After you have wiped the cleaner off then you rise your skin with cold water.

I originally thought this process would be really time consuming, but it actually only takes a couple of minutes. I originally used this at night and in the morning, but I really enjoy this process, and I want this bottle to last for as long as possible, so I have started only using this in the morning. I love using this is in the morning because I find that the eucalyptus in the cleanser is really invigorating and helps wakes me up. I really do love this process and it does feel like I am giving myself a really easy facial every morning, the cleanser feels invigorating, and then the hot cloth makes your face feel really clean, and then the cold water feels refreshing after the hot cloth. I normally don't like cream cleansers, but I am very impressed with this product, and my skin has been really soft and free of any break outs.

I highly recommend this product if you love good quality skin care and a bit of pampering everyday! I know I will hunt this down on ebay once I have used it up.

Merry Christmas everyone, and please remember to check out my 200 followers/Christmas giveaway
