Lust Have It Summer Eco Box 2012

December 14, 2012

This is my first ever Eco Box by Lust Have It, and I think this is the second Eco Box that has been released. This box is released quarterly, and costs $29.95. I bought this when there was that click frenzy sale thing, and I think I got this for $10 off. The concept behind this box is that you receive a box worth over $100 of natural skincare and makeup every three months.

This is the information card that came in the box...

So there are some interesting products in this box, there are three full sized items, which are the De Lorenzo Mud Slide Styling Creme, the Kuu Konjac sponge, and the Aphrodite mineral shimmer.

All the goodies come in this hessian bag, which is quite appropriate for an eco box... and here are the products...

Kuu Konjac Deep Cleansing Konjac Sponge - full size: This is why I like these beauty boxes, I find that they expose you to some very interesting things. This sponge contains red clay that you can re-use for around 2-3 months of daily use. It is supposed to deep clean and exfoliate the skin. I am very curious about this product, and will no doubt review it in more depth in the future.

Aphrodite Make Your Eyes Pop! in the shade Champaigne - full size: This is a really pretty champagne coloured shimmer. It is quite sheer, but adds a really pretty sparkle, see swatches below. I look forward to using this! These come in over 100 shades, and can be bought here.

Dr. Hauschka Mellissa Day Cream - 5g sample: I will no doubt enjoy using this cream, but I find that these Dr. Hauschka samples are far too small to know whether you really enjoy them.

Earthy Body Hand and Body Lotion - 88ml sample: See this is a much better size sample, I will no doubt get a lot of uses out of this bottle. There was the option of getting the hand and body lotion or a Glow Oil, I kinda wish I got the Glow Oil since it sounds a lot more interesting than a hand cream. I am also a fan of lavender scented things, so I might give this to my mum.

World Organic Juniper Berry Cleansing Face Wash and Almost Seed Face Exfoliant - both 15ml samples: I have never heard of this brand, and I love trying new exfoliants and cleansers, so I am keen to try these, and I will edit in a review. This is a New Zealand brand and both the products are suitable for vegans. The cleanser is enriched with botanical extracts to deep clean, tone, and remove makeup, and the exfoliant uses almond shell powder to exfoliate the skin. I love the packaging of these, they look like paint tubes. You can check this brand out at http://theorganicskinco.com/

De Lorenzo Elements Earth Mud Slide Styling Cream - full size: This is a strong hold styling cream, and since I don't really use styling products, I think the boyfriend might get some use out of this. I do love that they included a full size hair product, and I do like De Lorenzo, so I am keen to see what this is like.

Overall this is a well balanced box that contains makeup, hair care, skin care and body products. This is a great value box if you are into eco beauty products. I like using natural skin products, but its not a requirement when I am buying products, it's more of a bonus. Because of that, I am not sure if I will sign up for the next Eco Box, especially since I am signed up to the monthly Lust Have It box, and the monthly Bellabox, but if you are passionate about natural products then I would highly recommend this box.

Head to the Lust Have It website if you want to sign up to this Eco Box, or any of their other boxes available.

  1. That looks like a pretty generous box of goodies! I'm very curious about their Melissa Day Cream (which I think is fairly new?) as I'm always on the search for natural skin care products that are suitable for oily, sensitive skin. Enjoy! :)

  2. This seems like a good beauty box! I've heard great things about the Konjac sponge, I wanted to try it but wasn't too keen on paying shipping for it haha. Definitely looking foward to a review of it as I would like to hear your thoughts on it! The shimmer powder is a lovely shade too :)

The shimmer powder is a gorgeous shade, I love champagne eyeshadow - especially with a bit of sparkle!
