Pink sparkly nail look using Bourois 10 Days No Chips polish in the shade 14 and Karpati Dito Nail Lacquer in the shade Pretty In Pink

November 25, 2012

As per usual, I tend to take time out on a Sunday to do my nails. I wanted to use a long lasting nail polish because I am moving house this week, and the longer lasting the nail polish is, the better. My favourite long lasting polish is the Bourjois 10 Days No Chips polish, so I decided to use shade 14 which is a nice muted nude pink. After I put two coats of polish, I decided to add a bit of sparkle, and I didn't want something too obvious, so I decided to use the Karpati Dito nail polish in the shade Pretty In Pink. Originally I was only going to do a few feature nails, but because I liked the look so much I decided to put the glitter polish on all of my nails. The over all effect reminds me of what I would have loved to have worn when I was a little kid... princess nails!

So I used a Cutex base coat, two coats of the Bourjois 10 Day No Chips polish in shade 14, and then two coats of Karpati Dito Nail Lacquer in Pretty In Pink.

This is what the layered effect ends up being. It is a nice light pink nail with gorgeous fine pink and gold glitter. If you want to see what this glitter polish looks like on its own, then check out my review here.

So this was my original idea, where I was only going to put the glitter on two nails, but I liked the look so much that I wanted it on all of my nails. I decided to include this photo so you can see what the Bourjois nail polish looks like without the glitter on top.

I am glad I discovered this combination of nail polishes, and I am sure I this will be a go to nail combination when I want a more subtle shimmery nail look! Have you discovered any nail combinations that you love?

  1. It looks like these two nail polishes were made for each other, so gorgeous and pink and glittery! I'll be a sucker for princess nails no matter how old I am.

  4. Love the combination.

I have practically every colour of the Bourjois $13 nailpolishes as they had a $10 off coupon and then Priceline had them on sale for $10.40 so they were only 40c. Spent a day in the city going around to every Priceline getting them.
