Sally Hansen Insta-Dry Fast Dry Nail Color in 150 Petal Pusher

October 13, 2012

I got this nail polish in my October Bellabox yesterday and I was really excited to try it, not only is it fast drying (win) but it is also a nice nude pink (win). This is in the shade 150 Petal Pusher. This polish retails for $13.95.

This is a really pretty opaque nude pink, and is pretty fast drying. I didn't time how fast it dried, but I put a base coat and three coats of this on within 10 minutes, which is pretty damn good in my opinion. Normally with four coats it takes forever to dry, but I think the four coats were touch dry within a few minutes. You don't need 3 coats to get an even colour, but you do definitely need two. I put a third coat on only because my nails are a little stained so I wanted it very opaque.

Three coats of Petal Pusher

One thing that I also liked about this nail polish is that the brush is HUGE (see photo below). This means that it is also quick to apply. I did find that this brush held a lot of product and you often find yourself applying too much polish, but if you are quick enough you can apply the polish on two nails without needing to redip the brush. All in all, I really like this polish. I'm interested in how it lasts!

  2. I have this polish but for some reason I don't find it dries fast at all. Maybe I'm applying it wrong, or it's dried out a bit and has become gloopy, but last time I tried it took forever to dry. At least it fared better when you wore it. Lovely colour though! :)

    1. It was a nice thin formula for me, not gloopy at all. It didn't dry lightning fast, but I did find that it was significantly faster than other polishes, especially after applying so many coats
