Nail dotting tool demonstration - using Bourjois So Laque 42 Orange Creation, OPI Mod About You and Sportsgirl Nail It in Sunshine

October 8, 2012

I bought some dotting tools from eBay for $1.99 including shipping, and I love them! I honestly think that everyone who loves doing their nails needs to invest in these tools. I was originally going to do this spotted effect on all of my nails, but when I saw how beautiful this orange nail polish was, I decided to just do a feature nail.

You will notice that the pack contains 5 dotting tools, and each tool has two ends that contains a bigger dotting tool and a smaller one. For this look I used the green tool.

The nail polishes I used were Bourjois So Laque in Orange Creation, OPI Mod About You, and Sportsgirl's Nail It in Sunshine.

So firstly I used two coats of Orange Creation - this colour is the perfect vibrant orange. Then I used the larger end of the dotting tool and dipped it on the brush of the Mod About You nail polish, and then dotted it onto my nail. You will need to re-dip the dotting tool into the polish every 1-2 dots.

Then after the pink dots had dried, I then used the smaller end of the dotting tool with the Sunshine nail polish and dotted smaller dots on top of the pink dots.
