Innoxa blushes - Spice, Berry and Rose swatches and review

October 5, 2012

A couple of days ago I bought two blushes and two liptsicks from Innoxa and got their gift with purchase (see my recent blog post on it here). I was contemplating getting the third blush to complete the whole set and do a review on the whole Innoxa blush line. So here I am! I got the third blush (Rose) from a different Priceline yesterday and I was a bit disappointed to see that it was a different size than my original two. Since the back of the blush does not tell you how much product this contains, then I am just going to assume that the smaller pan contains less product (boo!).

So these are Line Defying Sheer Blushes from Innoxa in the shades Spice, Berry and Rose. I bought these on sale from Priceline for $7.47 each. I thought it was important to do this blog because at all the Pricelines I have been to that stock these, there are no testers to you really don't know what you are getting, and I am sure that prevents people from buying them.

So you can see that the larger pans are the ones with the weird swirly pattern on it. These two look like a good 20% larger than the smaller one on the end.

The packaging of these blushes are also quite bulky, sure they do contain a flip up mirror and a brush, but I think they could have put the mirror at the top of the lid and stream lined it a little. After saying that, I do commend Innoxa for containing a mirror and a brush. You will also notice that the bigger blushes contain bigger brushes.

Don't let the name Sheer Blush name fool you, these are beautifully pigmented blushes, they are also super finely milled and are a pleasure to use. They blend out very nicely on the cheeks, so if you do want a more sheer application then it is easy to achieve. The texture of these blushes remind me of Illamasqua blushes.

Spice is a warm bronze colour that contains gold shimmer. This is the most pigmented colour of the three and in the swatches below I used one swipe of the blush to get the swatch. This blush gives a slight shimmer, but it's not so much shimmer that it highlights your pores or imperfections.

Berry is almost a matte baby pink, but it has a very very slight shimmer to it. This is very neutral pink, and what I mean by that is that it's not quite blue based and it's not quite yellow based... I would say that it is closer to being yellow based, because when I put it on this morning it almost gave a peach flush to my cheeks.

Rose is a pretty peachy pink colour, and like Berry it is almost matte. This would be the type of blush that would suit all skin tones.

Overall I am happy with these blushes, I think there are a nice range of colours that would suit most people, and I like that the two pinks are almost matte because they make them more wearable all year round. I think these are good quality blushes, and they do last on the cheeks all day. If you wanted to buy these I would recommend you run down to Priceline while they are on sale (or buy them from the Priceline website), and I would also recommend you look for the ones with the swirly symbol on the front of the pack because it means that you have the larger blush.

  2. Ohh, I like the swirls - looks like an upside down butterfly. Is Spice more of a contour/bronzer?

    1. Too peachy and shimmery for a contour, but it would make a nice bronzer or just a bronze summer cheek. Its pretty!

It's a shame we can't get these in the UK I don't think - I've never seen them anyway! Xx

    1. If I find any sites that sell them, then I will let you know. I might buy a berry one to add to my stash for my 100 followers give away! (which will be international)

    2. I bought the two pink ones today :) I was told that they are being discontinued which is why they're only $7.50 instead of $25.

    3. Oh good to know. I bet they didn't sell because there were never testers. The two pinks are the best in my opinion

  5. These look really pretty and lovely quality! Especially if they remind you of Illamasqua blushes. It's so strange how there's that discrepancy in the size though :S

    1. Yeah I think they are soft and finely milled like Illamasqua... of course the colours aren't as eye catching.
