Sleek Blush Haul: Pink Sprint and Pumpkin Blush By 3, and Pixi Pink blush

July 13, 2012

Look what came today! My new Sleek blush order. I got these from the Sleek website where the Blush By 3 are $15.99 each, and the single blush is $6.50. I think postage was a flat rate of $7 to Autstralia, and I got a sample of their high shine gloss, I chose the colour Magic Strawberry.

The two Blush By 3 palettes I got were the Pink Sprint 366 palette, and the Pumpkin 363 Palette. See the box it game in above, and the details of the palettes below.

Pink Sprint 366 Palette

This palette is very pigmented, the first colour is an amazing raspberry red with a slight shimmer that will require a very light hand when applying. This colour is amazing, when I was swatching it I was worried that it will stain my fingers because it was so vibrant. I haven't yet used these on my face, but am looking forward seeing how Pink Parfait turns out. Pink Ice is a winner of a colour, it is a perfect vibrant blue based magenta pink this is supposed to be very similar to the limited edition blush called Santorini, if you missed out on that blush then get this Blush By 3. This is my favourite type of blush at the moment, and mainly bought this palette for this colour. Pink Ice also has a slight shimmer/satin finish to it. The most subtle of the colours is Pinktini, this is a nice plum colour and is probably the most matte finish of the three. This seems like the most safe colour to wear, its not as exciting as the other two, but I can imagine it becoming a frequently used colour. These colours may also look nice mixed - for example a bit of Pink Ice and Pinktini may make a nice colour. I will also do a swatch of all the colours next to each other at the end of the post.

Pumpkin 363 Palette

The colours of the blushes from left to right: Lantern, Squash, and P Pie.

Lantern is a coral red with a red shimmer, Squash is a warm toned light pink with a more satin finish, and P Pie is a matte orange. My favourite of these is P Pie, I have been in more of a pink phase lately, but I still love orange blushes. P Pie is supposed to be a dupe for like Sleek limited edition blush called Aruba, so if you missed out on that, get this Blush By 3. Squash is a nice pink, I know this post is overloaded with pink, but this is definitely a more coral pink compared to the Pink Sprint palette. I will also do a swatch of all the colours next to each other at the end of the post.

Pixi Pink 936

Even though I have overdosed on new pink blushes, I couldn't resist getting another. This is a soft blue based matte pink that would be perfect on pale skin. I do think this will be my most reached to colour out of all the blushes I have bought, it seems very girly and wearable. It is pigmented, but a little harder to build up colour because it is lighter. The swatches below show how pretty this colour is. I will also do a swatch of all the colours next to each other at the end of the post.

As a free gift I got to choose a sample of a lip gloss. I chose Magic Strawberry, because I liked the name and I normally would not buy a glitter lip gloss so I thought I may as well go a little crazy with the free sample. Its actually really petty. The gloss smells amazing, it does smell like strawberries, and I love any gloss that smells like strawberries. It's a sheer gloss, and you hardly see any of the pink on the lips. The glitter is mainly gold, but there are a few purple/blue duo chrome glitters. It also comes on a key chain which is very cute. See swatch below.

You will see from the swatches on the lips that this isn't a super glittery lipstick, the glitter more adds to the high shine effect of this gloss. I didn't put too much of this gloss on, but I can imagine you can get a very high gloss effect if you put more on. I must admit, this gloss was a little thick and sticky for me, but I guess that's what happens with high shine glosses. I'm normally not the biggest fan of shiny lip glosses.

I thought I would include a photo of all the blushes next to each other, so you can see the differences in the pinks. Also below I included swatches of each colour, what I did was I rubbed my finger on the colour and did one swipe on my arm. This shows what the colour pay off is like, and also the differences between the colours.

    1. haha yeah its great finding a good product thats also affordable. I'm a student so I pretty much only buy high-end products when they are on sale, or when I want to have a little splurge. Thanks for the really kind comment xx

  2. Wowee! Those blushes! I've pretty much decided I want the Pumpkin Palette after seeing this post. Totally with you there on P Pie. It's so rare that you'll find an orange without any shimmer. And that one's beautiful. Lantern and Pinktini are lovely too. Do you know if these blushes are available on their own?

    1. No they're not. The orange one is supposed to be the same as a limited edition that came out last year, but both these Blush By 3's have blushes unique to the palette.

  4. Oh my goodness, those blush palettes look gorgeous! The Pumpkin Palette looks especially tempting, as I'm a total sucker for warm pinks and oranges. I already own Flamingo and Life's A Peach, and am loving them so far. Thanks for sharing the swatches and reviews! :)
