MUA (Makeup Academy) makeup haul

July 24, 2012

I put in an order for a few MUA products 10 days ago, and I received it in the mail today. This cost me £23.50 or approximately AU$37 including shipping. My main motivation for ordering from the MUA website was to get the Undressed palette, which is a super cheap dupe for the Urban Decay Naked palette. Anyway you will see that mine arrived broken :( I emailed MUA and am waiting to hear back from them.

Anyway I decided to order a few other goodies to make the postage and handling worth my while. I got a Mosaic blush and a bronzer (for £4 together), a limited edition Going for Gold palette for £4, the Undressed palette was also £4, and the pressed powder, lipsticks, and eye brow pencil were all £1 each. I got the Nail Quake nail polish for free. I am very anti crackle nail polish because I think it looks horrid! But since it was free I thought I would give it a go, I chose the most unoffensive colour, I thought that maybe having a subtle cracking effect (instead of black on silver *shudders*) would make it slightly more acceptable... we will soon see!

I will filter through reviews and swatches of some of these products over the next week or so...

  1. I've been seeing the undressed pallette everywhere and want it- but am scared of ordering and it arriving broken. Hope it gets sorted out for you!

    1. They're sending me out a new one, so it all worked out well. I'll do a post as soon as I get it. I have wanted the Urban Decay Naked palette for ages, but they cost sooo much here, the cheapest I have seen it online is like $51. So at a tenth of the price I am happy to wait another 10 days for the MUA one to arrive!

  2. Great haul! I've never tried anything from the brand, so I'd love to see some swatches or reviews of any MUA products that turn out to be great :)
